Great small course!!!
Greens were recently aerated so I quit putting after the second hole. Other than that the course was a nice challenge. Will return when greens are nice and ready!
Great Value
Great Value. Fairways were in good condition for this time of year. Course would be better if fairways and tee boxes were mowed at a lower height.
Great weekender course
This was an average course, nothing great but well maintained. I played a hot deal 9 holes with cart for $6 so it was a great deal, BUT if I had paid the retail price of $18 for 9 holes I wouldn't have been happy with the value.
green fairways in April
Nice to play green fairways in April-fairways nice and thick, but a little long-greens OK too-using a lot of temp tees and grass there was too high
overall well worth the senior rate
At least the course was maintained.
The address on golf now is wrong. Took us to the wrong place. It made a 45min drive an hour and a half. Once we finally found the course, we had to walk even though golf now said cart included. Club house wasn't really open, no snacks, or food or drinks. The course was maintained, just looked like it was not updated since 1980.
Shouldn't be called a golf course
To say that this course requires attention is probably the biggest understatement of the year. I was able to play this course for a hot deal rate and still only played 9 holes. There is absolutely NO fairway. You have nice tee boxes and adequate greens, but NO fairways. I lost three golf balls hitting a tee shot straight down the middle. I would give it a lower rating for condition if that were possible. If you enjoy the game of golf, do yourself a favor, save your money and play a round in your yard. The conditions will not differ much.
Great Value Golf course
Great Value Golf course, well maintained and makes it easy to play for a novice like me
Nice course!
Very nice little course. The fairways are patchy and a bit too long where there is sufficient grass. While the greens look good they are much too long and very slow...almost "wooly". The course attracts high handicappers and beginners and trends to slow playing conditions. Some of the greens suffer from foot dragging and un-repaired divots. Novice golfers need to learn respect for the course and golf etiquette. Maybe a ranger is in order?
Nice course- slow play
The course itself is a nice family operated nine-hole golf course. The problem is that they do not have a starter and singles go out, twosomes go out, and then there's the problems of little kids playing with their parents who don't know any golf etiquette or what they're doing. Be prepared for very slow round if the slow players don't let you play through.
Fun course - good value !
Sleepy Hollow is not a particularly difficult course (except for #9) but it is fun to play - and that's what golf is all about, right? The course is well maintained and the staff is always friendly.
Fairways grass is too long.
Lovely place to play but this is the third time out and I have lost balls due to the grass being too tall.
Great value for the money.
A well-maintained family owned & operated 9 hole course. A beautiful setting, this gem is hidden just inside Oldham County. Friendly staff & atmosphere make this course a joy to play. One note: A little patience may be required, as this course is very popular with players who walk due to the lack of hilly terrain.
Walkers do not hold up a course. This is an outright fallacy. Walkers can go directly to their ball reguardless of where it is located, there is no detour to partners ball. There is no "cart path only" to a walker, they never have to return to the cart or wait for another club to be brought. They can walk directly to the green instead of parking 25yds. or more away.
Walkers take longer to get the next tee and longer to get to ball in fairway, but they should play just as fast. Please do not spend the entirety of your golfing life cursing walkers- it is off base
Lots of fun to play
The rough is cut short to enhance your enjoyment. Staff are friendly. It's just a very nice course to play. Easy to walk.
Well worth the money and would recommend
Course is in very good shape, greens are smooth as they should be. Fairways are a little tight but there's not many trouble areas except for a water bunker in front of the 8th. green.
I call this my home course
This course is an old reliable friend. I know i can come to it knowing what to expect. It is always well maintained, a moderately challenging course, but a consistantly quality product. Truly enjoy this course.
Nice little 9 hole course, friendly staff, great for newer golfers
I took my wife out golfing, this was her first time and the holes were wide open and very well maintained, it was great for her first time, she didn't lose many balls and have to worry about hitting an adjacent golfer if he she messed up.
Sleepy Hollow a must play!
The staff was extremely friendly! The course was in pristine condition! Actually in better condition than many of the local country clubs I have played! I would recommend this course to anyone who loves the game!
Thick fairways and great scenery
Nice course but the fairways were challenging for a female to hit out of and the red tees were always 10 feet in front of the others which would make it very difficult to win any holes except par 3's.
Actually the address is correct, its GPS systems which lead you astray. The clubhouse serves some of the best hot dogs I have ever had as well as an assortment of candy bars, peanuts, chips, crackers and soft drinks. It is unfortunate you had such a bad experience at one of the best courses I have played.
