It OK
Played in March, dry but rained in prior days. Course handles the water pretty well. There was standing water and wetness in low spots but most of the fairways were pretty dry and the greens were really firm and fast.
Course gets lots of play from kooks so it’s hard to keep up. People mostly don’t fix their ball marks or replace their divots. It’s a shame but the course seems to work hard fixing the lame client base.
Bunkers were kept nice. Some courses don’t maintain them in the winter.
Layout is really nice!
Geese in a the main problem. So many geese! Poop everywhere! Hard to keep grass growing. But again, they seem to do the best they can with it
November golf?
No wind, dry fairways and goose crap galore! This the was 14th days in a row of no rain and the course was in great shape for November. The firs few holes on the blue course were covered in goose crap as well as the final two, but in between the course was playing great. Greens were recently fertilized to kill the moss? Which made for a ugly black appearance but didn’t impede putting.
Great shape!
The Blue is in great shape. Greens still were rolling good. I know there getting punched soon though. Staff was excellent. Good value and great test of your game!
Moderate difficulty; not in top condition
Fun course that’s especially suited to mid-handicap players. Two disappointments. First, the practice green was substantially slower than the greens on the course, so unsurprisingly I 3-putted the first hole, and it took me a while to recalibrate. I lost 4-5 strokes over that. Second, some of the fairways were in poor shape with large bare spots. Is that normal for September or does a maintenance investment need to be made?
Hard course with a technical layout
Overall good condition with a very technical layout. Forces you to plan your way around the course.
Quick Vacation Round
Was able to get a tee time and matched up with another traveler and played in 3.5 hours. Great scenery and some wildlife
Nice course and close to home
Not bad, a lot of goose poop on the course. But it is a PDX city course and I am sure they cant discourage the goose from the course
