Absolute Gem 💎

This is my favorite course of all time!! You never get bored here, and must use strategy to succeed. Beautiful greens, the slope protects the short yardage, but don't be fooled, Kebo is a beast to score on!! I once worked at a local restaurant where the owner would offer free dinner if the patron could shoot their handicap. He never had to pay it off!! For golf enthusiasts, this is a must play.

Monopoly pricing

Kebo is a quirky, hilly course just outside Bar Harbor. It's the only 18-hole course open to the public year-round, and thus charges monopoly pricing ($124 for a Monday morning round). The course conditions don't justify such high rates. It's not just that there are dead patches on the fairways and rough and the course feel overgrown around the edges. I expect luxury conditions if I pay $100 or more for a round of golf - lush fairways, consistent rough and collars, neat tee boxes and decently kept hazards. Kebo just feels much more like a high-end muni. The course has a range consisting of a netted-in area. This would've been fine, but on the day we played a worker was blowing leaves from the hitting area and couldn't be bothered to stop his work and let us warm up before our round. So we left two unhit buckets of balls. Also, many of the greens are severely sloped which, when added to how fast the greens were running, made holding the green impossible on approach shots. It was verging on unfair for no real good reason. There are many reasons to come to Acadia, but golf isn't one of them.

Historic Course

Previous reviewer nailed it, over paying for the history! It has some nice scenery, but I was expecting more and was underwhelmed!! I wanted to play a Leeds course just had hoped for more.

Historic & scenic, but PRICEY

Was in Bar Harbor for the week & decided to play a round while wife was at the spa. The course was convenient to Bar Harbor. The course has some neat history and great views. The layout was decent. The greens were well maintained and quite fast, you definitely want to be below the hole. Greens fees were quite pricey - for the price I expect a lot more. I've played courses of similar quality for a fraction of the price. I've also played other courses for this price that had a much better track to play. All in all, it was a nice round, but I don't know that I would play it again, unless greens fees decreased.

Rooms in bar harbor $300, dinner for 2 $200, spa probably $500, but $150 golf is expensive?

Funny that someone from NY complaining about price. Usually horrible golfers complain about Kebo because it's not flat and they can't break 100.

Fast Greens -- Nice Views

Very nice course. Somewhat tight. Greens slippery fast and undulating--very challenging. In the valley so you see views of mountains of Acadia National Park. We had early tee time so were able to play fast. By the time we were done, the course appeared to be getting busy so it may take longer to play. Would definitely play again if in the area. Note: Brochure obtained from Chamber of Commerce had a 15% discount coupon that we took advantage of.
