Situated in the heart of the beautiful Berkshires, Skyline Country Club offers golfers a setting unlike any other. With views that span the surrounding mountains and stretch to the Pontoosuc Lake, the golf course is New England scenery at its best. Besides just the stunning location, the golf course presents quite a challenge. You'll face a handful of blind shots as well as tricky uphill and downhill holes. The signature hole is the par-3 fifth. You'll find yourself stuck in a wooded ravine if you're too far left on this scenic, downhill hole but too far right and you'll be up on a ledge with a 15-foot drop to the green. Another tough hole follows, but it's less daunting than it appears. Skyline Country Club's par-4 sixth starts with a blind shot but the trees serve as a marker for your drive. With a good first shot, you could possibly make it onto the green in two.

Sarcasm in pro shop not appropriated
If you book this course on GolfNow, expect the guy checking you in to remark twice that your money went to Florida. Thanks pal. I got your drift the first time you said it. Oh, and the greens are the worst I’ve ever seen. I won’t be back.
Me Daumont
The worst kept greens I’ve seen in a long time, dead grass, patches of sand and dead gras in all greens. The golf carts are really banged up, every single one had the seats torn. A true shame since the location and scenery up in the mountains is beautiful. Needs up keep and greens repaired asaop
Couse is for sale, and maintenance is an afterthought
This course has great views the layout can be challenging but the biggest disappointment is the practice green has burn out everywhere and so does every Green on the course. There's not a smooth green here. The hole plaques are faded or broken.
No Frills But Lots of Thrills
This course is a little crazy. Greens look like the surface of the moon. Carts backfire. Cart paths are an off road adventure. But the course overall is really fun and interesting, and the views are spectacular. We plan on playing here again next time we're in the area.
Nice Course - Needs Maintenance
There are a few challenging and beautiful holes. The course needs routine maintenance especially on the cart paths and the greens. The fairways are nice. The scenery is breathtaking, especially with the Fall colors. Well worth the money!
Great varied hole layout
cart recommended due to elevation changes.
Excellent mix of hole configurations. Generally well maintained. Stunning views of distant hills and glimpses of Pontoosuc Lake.
Very friendly staff.
Lovely day
Played the course a few years ago so was almost like a new course. Like the change of elevations on different holes, uphill and down. Fairways are reasonably wide. Greens are a bit rough. Warmed up to low 70's and one the morning wind died down was a great round.
Challenging layout
This course has some very challenging holes. The tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. The greens are in very poor condition. All in all for the money nice course to play for practicing your irons.
For the price, the course was great!
The greens and tee boxes could use care. The cart paths were very bumpy but the fairways were in good shape. For the price and scenery, i would go back again.
Pricey
Worse than the course conditions the pro informed me that golfnow charged almost $20 per player more than if I had contacted the course directly. Issue us primarily with golfnow. Not the course. Apparently this has been brought forward as an issue and has not been resolved. May be time to stop using gokfnow..
I had same issue, still waiting for the adjustment I was promised
Skyline Country Club
Golf now charged me and my friend $50 for 18 and a cart 2x. So that’s a problem off the bat and then when we showed up to the course the pro told us it’s $33 for 18 and a cart. Golfnow dipped us off. Oh and it was supposed to be a “hot deal” that’s bs
Vacation Rd
Staff is very friendly. Course set up was nice and you need to keep the ball in the middle. Take the staff's pre Rd talk to note. Couple blind shots, which could break your Rd. Greens have spots from the summer heat but overall decent rolls.
You get what you pay for
We were hopeful but.... The person who checked us in was unfriendly and hostile. Golf cart was dirty, had cobwebs, backfired while driving and was somewhat scary. The seat was torn and had duck tape that was peeling up. The paths were in poor condition with many holes you had to drive around. The tee boxes were not level and full of weeds. The greens were full of brown spots with very little grass. Overall the course was run down and in terrible condition.
Many of the holes had blind spots and should have had mirrors and bells to make them safer. There was sufficient signage which made it pretty easy to navigate. Some of the holes had beautiful views. The course itself was challenging and with a sufficient financial investment would receive a much better rating.
Lot's of Fun
This isn't a fancy course. It won't look like a Troon course.
However, it is very fun and challenging. Lots of up and down hills. A few blind greens and some of the best views of
the Berkshires. It''s well maintained and an incredible value.
If you're playing the Berkshires, consider Skyline before paying more elsewhere.
Great place to play for the money
Great day for golf and the staff was very friendly. Arguably one of the best views in the Berkshires. Course was challenging on almost every hole. Couple greens that need a little work but overall really good shape.
I was the first golf pro in 1965 at Skyline. Worked for Pete Asci who was the owner and builder of the course. Had lot's of good memories of all the scenic views and the players from G.E. and surrounding towns who were regulars there. Sorry to see it closing.
