Fun day of golf
Nice golf course with a good layout.
Plenty of bunkers and fescue.
Green ran true and were in good condition.
I would go back again for sure.
Great course
I’ve been playing Waverly Oaks since it opened. I’ve always liked the layout and the conditions have been outstanding lately. Greens are true and the fairways well kept. I like that they are allowing the heather to grow in again as it adds another layer of challenge. Speaking of challenge, do yourself a favor and ask the starter which tees to play based on your handicap.
Watch out for Number nine
Had a great time playing here yesterday course was in great shape greens were very quick played with a member so it was just a twosome things went pretty good didn’t wait on the Teebox that much just on a few holes but overall enjoyed the course but watch out for number nine
Greens recovering well from earlier aeration and course in great shape. Still need to redesign hole #9. Everything else was awesome.
Great staff
People at the front desk are very courteous and the course has some unusual holes very challenging specially number nine which is I think the hardest hole on the course just because of the Carrie to get to the green even at the end of the round the guys that clean your clubs are very nice great day of golf
What has happened to this place?
Played a late afternoon round here last Thursday. Pro shop attendant couldn't have been less excited for me to walk in. Bag guy was friendly. Course remains in A+ condition - as always. This course, however, is run so poorly it makes me never want to come back. I have had 3-4 straight 5 hour+ rounds here and nothing ever seems to change. Pace of play was fine until we reached hole 7 where the snack house is. There were 3 groups on the tee, one in the fairway, and one on the green. All of this while the starter/ranger was parked there doing nothing! The group ahead of us proceeded to hit 6 balls off the tee - all over the place - and then kick one of the tee markers in frustration. Not to be rude, but one was wearing wind pants and a hooded sweatshirt. Another was wearing red basketball shorts. Their group (all in carts) would walk slowly down fairways looking for any and all golf balls in the rough/woods.
We made it all the way to hole 16 and looked back from the fairway and the guy in the group behind us was driving on the tee boxes! He then proceeded to drive right into the fringe and around the back of the 17th green. What in the world
We teed off at 3:10 and finished 18 in the dark.
This course is $115+ on weekends. Do any rules apply Monday-Thursday? I will not be back the rest of the year. I couldn't care less about paying money for a nice course, but I don't have the time or patience to suffer through 5+ hour rounds
No show charge??
I play there a lot during the season as a single, so I chose to bring my parents and my brother for Mothers Day. Due to the Weather being cold and super windy (50MPH+), one of our 4-some wasn't physically able to play. I made that clear, but the man at the desk said it was not up to him...it was up to the boss. The day after I paid for three players, I was charged by GolfNow for the 4th who had to cancel due to a physical issue.
If it was 80 and sunny with no wind, I get it.....but when the weather is terrible and super windy, its bad business.
Hopefully the extra $90 goes towards fixing the bathroom at the "comfort station"
