Good Course, Very Relaxing Day.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course layout was challenging. The greens were in good shape and rolling well. There wasn’t that many golfers playing during our round which made a very relaxing afternoon. The fairway rough and grass around the greens was approximately 2” to 4” which made it harder to find your ball. Excellent value for the money paid. Had lunch prior to golfing, good selection of food. Looking forward to playing this course again.
a real hidden gem
what a lovely course...lots of elevation changes, quick greens, punitive rough. I would definitely play here again. It's not one of the big name courses around Traverse City, but it offers challenges and many rewards. The staff is very friendly, many clean, and I mean CLEAN porta potties, nobody pushing you. It was a very relaxing and rewarding round.
Best value around
Course conditions continue to improve. I have played this course for over a decade and it is a welcome change to see the improvements the past few years. It’s a very straightforward course for those that haven’t played it. It gives a significant challenge on many holes especially if you land in the rough. There are many amazing courses in the area but few provide the value that the Farm has to offer.
Hidden Gem
I was visiting from Florida and wanted to get in a couple of rounds. The recent reviews were good so we decided to give it a try. The new owners have done a great job of renovating what, I am told, was a pretty tired course a few years ago. Teeboxes were great. The fairway was lush and well manicured. The greens were pristine, rolled true and were challenging. My brother in law who played with me is a local and hasn't played this course in years due to past conditions. He was very surprised at the improvement and said this is going to be a regular stop on his rotation. This place needs to get the word out. It's as nice a course as I have played in the last couple of years.
Good course for money
Fairly straightforward layout. Not the most scenic course in th north for sure but in great shape, challenges, especially if u play fr the tips, and in very good condition.
A nice surprise
My wife an I got out of the house on this sunny day, we took a nice drive down back roads for just over an hour to get to the course. We weren’t expecting much considering the price, but we were pleasantly surprised. The front nine is very open and the back nine is mostly in the woods, conditions were great, we found out the course is owned by the same people the own the Chief, we will be back.
Must play
Most of the course is wide open the back 9 is in the woods for a few holes some of the best greens around
Nice Summer Round
Greens were in good shape. Tight fairways, the rough was long and lush. Would suggest expanding width of fairways and good 1/2 inch lower rough.
Course in good shape but you could lose balls off the fairway specifically on 1-9.
Course maintenance people very golfer friendly.
