NICE TRACK WOULD PLAY AGAIN
Green have plenty of slope and speed and roll true.No driving range but have a small place to chip and putt.
4;40 to get around there this time, too much waiting for me
Well maintained and reasonably challenging
Course is in great shape, especially the greens. Definitely provides a challenge, but it’s fair. There are a few random trenches on some holes that can surprise a first time player at the course
Nice spot; would play again
Really well kept for a challenging year and not to mention a drought. Good pace of play but very early tee time, so take that with a grain of salt.
Horrible pace of play, conditions not worth the price they charge.
We played here today and got a ‘hot deal’ for $49 a piece with a cart, and it was way overpriced. The reviews here critical of the pace of play are spot on, we ended up getting stuck behind two groups on hole 5, we were in literally waiting in line to tee off, it was absurd. And they have no ranger, so there’s nobody to keep groups on pace, took us 6 hours to play 18, ridiculous.
Lastly, the conditions were poor. I figured a city like wayland would have some pride in their course, apparently not. Countless greens were dried out, with divot marks EVERYWHERE. Same thing in most fairways, crazy divots that were never repaired. The layout is pretty wide open, not an overly long course, but the conditions were just so poor. Not worth the price.
Slow play
Roughly 5 hr round. Tight layout. Lots of stray balls.
Wayland Country Club is a fun course to play
The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. This was a surprise to me given the extreme heat wave that has been around for almost a month. The course superintendent has done a wonderful job keeping the course green. Definitely an enjoyable course to play and I will play it again.
Need Rangers !
Pace of play was terrible! Foursome in front of us do not belong on a golf course!! No golf etiquette, we almost got hit twice with no warnings! Guys were just laughing it off. If they had rangers, these jokers would have been removed!
