Great Track
Nice playing this time of the year. Good golf course. The guy working the desk when checking in B-S-ing. People just want to check in and play golf.
Overall good experience.
Nicely Surprised
Friend had seen this course and suggested we try it. Saw it was a "muni" and thought usual flat, back and forth layout. Wrong. Very nice layout w/ woods, wetlands, and a few water holes. Front was slow as we were behind 5 groups of seniors who warned us they would be slow whcich was very nice of them. Ranger could have started us on 4. We looked at layout on back and went to 14 at the turn and it worked perfectly. Conditions were very good and greens weren't bad considering they were pplugged a month ago. Will definately play here agin.
Be aware
Be aware they will aerate greens and still charge you summer rate. We could not roll a putt to save our lives..We stopped in on the turn and talked to the pro shop about the conditions and they said "the greens are fine"! We couldn't believe it..they didn't offer customer service at all.
Good experience, really enjoyed myself. Rcj
My wife and I went to Leslie Park via Golf Now. The staff wad friendly, we paired with a nice English fellow. My wife is anew golfer so I was concerned about our slow play, the staff managed our play gracefully. I will go to LP again. Ron
Great course and great staff.
This course is the best deal around. Staff are wonderful.
Best Muni in Washtenaw
Of all Arthur Hills designs, this is his best. Undulating terrain keep things interesting here and the bunkers are very well placed. Great golf experience for being in the city!
Much improved!
The changes made to the course mandated by a water project that impacted the golf course have really settled in. The rough was punative but not extreme. Leslie Park challanges all skill levels.
Pace of play can be a problem as the course is extremely popular.
Nice, but slow
No rangers on the course, so pace of play was awful. Took 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Absolutely no reason for it, either. Course was in very good condition - greens were fast, fairways were cut well. Tee boxes were a little shaggy, though. And, there wasn't a beverage cart on the course.
Overall, if I could get out there again, and not have the slow play, I would. Great value.
One of better courses in lower Michigan
The course was fast and difficult. I always like playing this course. Greens are firm with plenty of traps (of which I was in quite a few). The fairways were fast and rough was fair.
Great Golf Course!! NO HOUSES! Old beautiful landscape
Absolutely a great golf course! Greens are fast and pretty true. Scenery is outstanding! Terrain changes on every hole. A REAL GOLF COURSE!! The only drawback is you sometimes get the beginner golfer and or the college type hippie that wants to walk the course and takes forever. But usually they will let you go through. A MUST TO PLAY!!!!! The top Municipal course in the USA!!!
Great as always.
Greens kick your butt, and rough eats balls for lunch.
Fun track
This is a really nice track with a number of elevation changes throughout. For the money, it's a good value. You may want to check with the clubhouse before booking here; I've gone a couple of times and been told the rates are lower if you call.
Great Public Course, great value
This course was a pleasant surprise. In great shape and was a great value. I was able to get 18 holes with a cart on Sunday for $16, you just can't beat that. Not for this course. It is worth every penny. Will definitely play again.
Leslie park worth the money
One of the better muni courses you will play these days IMO. They were having problems with no 11 fairway when we played otherwise the course was real nice. Even the plugged greens rolled ok (it was that time of the year). One of our favorite courses. You can tell they have put some money into the course as trees have been taken out to it a more pleasing to the eye, especially the back nine.
Good value
Played at Leslie Park course in Ann Arbor Michigan last Sunday. The course is well maintained, greens been rolled not like many other municipal courses. Good value.
The course deserves its reputation.
I had read a lot of reviews about this course and about some of the national recognition it has recieved before playing. I really liked the course. It has open fairways and gradual doglegs. The course is very beautiful with mature trees and lots of elevation change, but there were some GUR areas that we had to work around. The staff was very friendly. We'll be back.
awesome
I get that the excess rain has caused a lot of GUR spots, but I have never had any problems with this course normally. A must play.
So much potential
Nice arthur hills course, poor maintenance.
First 3 holes are kinda boring, after going through the tunnel holes 4 through 9 are my favorites, rolling hills, room to bomb away, fun!.
Holes 10 through 13 are around the river, you can tell the maintenance struggle here mostly caused by the creek's overflowing.
Before hole 14 take your time and drink some water before climbing the steep hill to reach the 14th tee, back in the hills , take your time to smoke one and enjoy the view for a minute, beautiful finishing 5 holes.
For a 17$ hot deal is a steal
Fun course
My son and I enjoyed this course a lot. He is a better golfer than I am so he had to be more careful because the hazards fell within the distances that he hits. It made him choose his shots. Great course!!
Wonderful views of rolling hills
Very challenging course with many different lies. Greens were smooth with hidden breaks
Aerating is expected in late Sept., early Oct. Did you think to call ahead ?? Played there yesterday and greens were as good as can be expected after being plugged several weeks ago.
