Very poor condition
This course is in very poor condition. Dried out, diseased greens, and lack of service options. No on course refreshments and lack of choices in the clubhouse. Even with extremely low price it really isn't worth it. Hopefully, ownership can invest some money to make this course a viable option in the future.
poor condition
The course was in very poor condition. Fairway, greens and tee boxes were all in very poor condition. Not even worth the $10 i paid.
Enjoyed the technology and the corse was great
Fun course challenging at times and difficult greens.
Decent course for the money
This course is apparently dissatisfied with your service and will not be renewing for another stint as I was informed when we arrived. My wife booked this course on her smart phone and all I had on arrival was the confirmation number and the tee time. The person said I needed a receipt for the amount paid and I told him I did not have the phone with me. He stated a confirmation number meant nothing to him, however he did allow us to play. It seems that if your company could email or fax the confirmation to the courses it may possibly solve problems such as I encountered.
You get what you pay for
This is def a course that is only worth what you pay. We chose this course as a result of being cheap and wanting to teach our friend how to play. The staff was very dismissive and showed no interest in the fact that we were paying them to use a course that looked like a desert used to be in its place. The fairways were brown, the greens were brown. The layout of the course is extremely difficult to understand as multiple holes seem to run directly next to each other with no clear understanding of which direction to swing. I may have just had a bad experience and it could be better the second time around, however, odds are I will not be taking that initiative.
challenging, but needs work
Great course as far as difficulty! As far as maintainence, they fall short. A lot of burnt grass and sometimes you couldn't tell the difference between the fairway and the rough. For 12 bucks not bad, but for regular price, not worth it.
the course has improved since I last played it.
The course has many unique features, such as the greens that are sitting just over creeks and trees on both sides.
Have your confirmation ready!
Walked in to the pro shop to get set for the round, said "I have a Golf Now reservation."
"Where is the confirmation number? I need to see if you owe the course anything," snapped the guy behind the desk, while I was pulling up the GN email on my phone.
Once he saw the email he was fine, but that's not the way I like to start the round, if you know what I mean.
Otherwise the course is fine, most of the greens were okay. (I was warned ahead of time about the rough ones.)
I'd go back and play there again, with my confirmation printed out. . .
The course was in awful condition.
We teed off at 9:30 am and they didn't start mowing until noon. If you weren't in the fairway, good luck finding your ball in all of the dandelions and weeds. The greens were probably some of the worst maintained greens I have ever seen.
Used to be great, now o.k. but cheap!
Used to be a great course w/ 36 holes. Fred Meijer bought it to move the zoo there, but it fell through. Course sat dormant for 2+ years, then reopened. It's a pretty interesting layout w/ some wild holes. It's only 18 holes now & you can still see where some of the old holes were. It's an old style course, not too long w/ small greens. Not in the best shape any more, but it is usually pretty cheap.
