good course
like the layout and the staff, found the greens to be slow.
Good course
I'm just a weekend hacker who enjoys golf. Tips: Important that you hit your driver straight. The fairways have enough trees to keep you honest and the rough is a little thick. The greens can be challenging when putting. My advice to The Highlands: Put some water coolers on the course. Enjoyed the course and I am sure I will be back.
This course is nice, but pace of play - very slow
Course is always slow. If you expect to play at a decent pace, it will not happen. My friends and I have vowed to never play this course again due to the consistently slow pace of play. It took us over 6 hours this past weekend to get through 18 holes.
Great staff but slow play
Old course built in 1908. They just decided this year to flip the nines because they found play to be 10 minutes faster on average. Hard to believe since I slogged through a five hour round. The course has a decent layout with character. There are many places on the course that could be better maintained but overall it's fine if you hit it where you are supposed to. Mosquitoes are non-existent on this course which was a refreshing change from what I've experienced this year. The starter was super friendly. The ranger, not so much.
would not play until course is in better condition
greens were slow course not in good shape. Love the course but will wait for a couple of months and try again.
Always like playing here.
Good Value, especially later in the year. Looks like some improvements from last year.
Busy all the time.
They pack the golfers in at this course. Of course Spring golf can be rough. The course is not ready for regular play.
Hard course. Enjoy playing there.
Staff always nice. Course decent for January considering we had some snow this year. Nice to have GPS on carts.
Good Course
I have played here this year four or five times. The course is fairly straight forward, nothing tricked up and moderately challenging. There are really no tight holes and the greens are in pretty good shape for this time of year (November). The guy behind the counter couldn't be more friendly.
Good layout
This time of year leaves are an issue. Many trees and day we played very windy. Played at 10 AM greens not cut.
great
fairways in excellant condition and greens somewhat easy and some challenging but overall course in great shape and the hospitallity of the staff was great
Great Course
Course is very fun to play. Nice fairways, thick rough, and very nice rolling greens. Anytime I find 18 and a cart for under $20 i snag them up. It is well worth the money spent.
The course was in good shape
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Rough was medium height and some of the bunkers were alittle hard, but overall we loved the course for the money. Well worth it.
Course is well managed and kept up,
Course offers variety of challenging hole play moves well. Very fun course to play and new management is install nice upgrades.
Former Senior PGA and LPGA event site.
Not recommend for average player. This is a tough tree lined course with fast and small undulating greens that make par very hard to attain. Play this course early or very late because it can take you more the 6 hours to play during afternoon and weekends. I recommend honing your golf skills before taking on this former pga and lpga layout.
