Mud bunkers...course needs work
Bunkers were muddy/moldy (no sand)...thank goodness I only went in once. Tee boxes were also pretty patchy. Probably will not play here again this season...may try it again next year.
Not my best experience at this course
They ran the sprinklers in the middle of our round on 3 greens. We had to play around them and managment didn't seem to care. No concessions were offered.
Also, the weeds in front of the tees overgrown to the point where driver ball flight would clip the weeds (hole 9 especially). The fairways had lots of patchy grass. I dont plan on playing there again this year due to these issues.
Needs work
Over priced. Bunkers are like concrete. Won't be back.
Little rough
Course needs alot of work. Pretty rough conditions. Will say that the greens were in good condition although a little firm. Bunkers horrible.
11th hole rank in MI
Force carries not as difficult as it seems, but it's in your head the whole round.
Inkster Valley Deteriorating!
Although the layout is nice, the course maintenance is deteriorating. There were weeds in most fairway and green-side bunkers. Tee areas were patchy and had a lot of weeds. Greens looked nice from a distance but were not being maintained. There were numerous un-repaired ball marks on all the greens and they were also very slow.
Needs work
This is a great golf course for the above average golfer .....but it needs better maintenance. The sand traps had grass and weeds growing in them and the greens were lumpy but that was due to golfers not repairing their divots.
Course is in good shape
Course is in good shape
Always enjoy playing here
Challenging course your first couple of rounds
Family outing
Booked 2 foursomes. Easy booking and great value. We'll be back
Seen Better Days....
Unique layout but has not been kept up. I was the first one out in the morning and 13 of 18 flags were laying by the side of the green. I can only assume the greenskeeper decided not to replace them after cutting. That was quite annoying. If you can good rate it is worth playing, not at full price though.
bring a draw
It's not particularly long, but the elevation changes, some narrow fairways, sharp doglegs and many blind shots make this a pretty challenging course. Almost all of the elevation changes are hitting uphill and almost all of the doglegs are to the left. Ignore my pace of play because the course wasn't very busy but even on weekend afternoons it's no more than 4 hours, 4:15 tops.
Long Day..
I thought this was a nice course, lots of dogleg left's, I used my irons alot on this course. I shot a 100 over 18 holes, pace of play was a lil slow for my liking, but when you tee off at 12;30 what would you expect, Sand traps are like dirt, fairways were groomed nicely, ive heard rumor's of people getting robbed at the course, i didn't experience anything like that...I would'nt worry about getting robbed here. Overall decent course hole 18 is beautiful here...Enjoy. Putting was a challenge here, I'll be back here for sure, but wouldnt pay 32 for 18, thanks golfnow.com for giving me a reason to give inkster Valley a chance....I'll be back to break 1hundo..
Poor condition
The course could be really nice. It needs lots of maintenance has ants holes on greens and course needs to spray for bugs. I know every course has its flaws but this one really shows it.
A gem going awaaaayyyyyy..........
Have played this courrse since it opened. Have defended and championed this course just as long. A true, unique gem. But sadly the maintenance is really lacking. This is from the tips......a par 3 totally blind(#10). Holes #1, #6 tee shots blocked by scrub tree growth. Would take about 1 day to fix this problem. All bunkers have been abandonded for years now, little sand, hard as rocks. To bad because it is truely a unique, challenging course.
Long day
5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes - too long. Enjoyed course but doubt I'll be back because of the unbelievable slow play
great shape
The course was in very good shape, well taken care of and a joy too play!!!
Inkster Valley
Clubhouse isn't much, but the course makes up for it. Challenging but fair course with a nice layout. The course layout (going from hole to hole) is a bit confusing especially from 9-10.
Backside is a bit more challenging, but I would recommend this course to a friend. I will be back.
Inksterrrrr
Decent course. Speed of play was the killer, but that seems to be almost anywhere you go nowadays. Shouldn't take you 5 hours to play 18 holes. First tee backed up so didn't start on time either.
Impressive for an early April round with the winter we had
Very impressed with the condition of the course with how bad of a winter we had in MI. You had typical muddy/wet spots that you would expect and while the greens were SLOW, the ball actually rolled fairly well which is what I was worried about the most due to the weather we have had. The staff was excellent. The manager(maybe owner?) handled a very tough situation well. The group that booked ahead of us was supposed to have 10 people so we were going to be paired with two of them but they ended up bringing 12 without telling the course. While I could tell the manager was upset and stressed, he handled it very professionaly and was very apologetic to us. This is why I keep playing this course, challenging in the summer months, great experience, and always reasonably priced. Worth every penny they charge you. Play this course if you haven't before, you won't be disappointed.
course has many good features
this course could be a real value except for the BRUTALLY SLOW PACE of play. I played this course in 2012 and spent 5 hours trying to play 18 holes, I thought i would give it another chance thinking I just had bad luck BUT no this is just a very poorly managed course for pace of play it took me 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes this year. there was no one to check on groups playing slow, no ranger was seen the whole day and i was there the whole day!
wevwere witing 15 to 20 minutes on some tees.
Absolutely no ecuse for this lack of respect for there customers.
Obveously I will never play this course again or recomend it to any other golfer.
