A gem in the country
I was greatly pleased with my round at Whiteford Valley. The course is very well maintained and greens were in excellent shape. The fairways are EXCELLENT to hit off of! The terrain offers a variety of challenges that are good for the average golfer. Fairways are a good width to continue to improve your game.
course maintain
A lot of the greens were unputtable with all the leaves. If they blow them off once a day it would have been fine, but didn't look like any course maintenance for weeks. I usually enjoy playing there, but was very unsatisfied this last time.
Value value value for the money!!!
Played a threesome and everyone felt the course was a decent challenge and agreed to play there more often... Lots of dips and turns on the greens to challenge most putts...very scenic with lots of trees at strategic points for hazards...only complaint??? Yardage markers were scarce and sometimes painted wrong color...y not take a day or two and paint the numbers on the yardage stones on the fairways.. That would be a tremendous improvement..
Gret Time
Will definitely be going back...great round of golf at a great place to play. The staff couldn't have been more courteous and helpful.
Good Course
Nothing fancy but enjoyable to play. Good rates. They are doing some revamps to the course also so should be nicer next year.
Lost!
The course itself was in decent shape. However there are not enough signs or marker s telling you where to go to next hole? Can be confusing when 3 are 3 different 18 hole courses there?
love this course
I really like this course. They have had great pricing on golfnow.com this year. The course was well maintained , and is truly stunning in the fall.
West is the best
I like both courses very much but certainly prefer the West course. It is quite a beautiful golf course and the rates Golfnow has been providing make it just about unbeatable!
good for the money
course is decent for the money paid. not extremely nice, but not too expensive either.
great course with alot of club options
will play this course again. like the option of playing 3 differant courses. great course to work on your irons.
Solid course
Course needs a bit of work but has otherwise great greens when watered. Fairways very wide open so it bodes well for swinging for the fences. Average course but can't beat it for the price. Enjoy
Very poor course and ownership
This course was in terrible shape. It says there is water on the course, but most was dried up. There were puddles all over it even before it rained. It rained during our round, but it didn't stop us. When we got back from hole 13 because the rain was too ridiculous, everyone was gone. There was one worker there who was very unfriendly. There was no one who we could talk to about a refund. Worst value ever.
Good cheap round.
This track has four courses interlaced but is well marked at the tees. Greens have color coded flags. fairways could use some attention. Trees and creeks require strategic shots. decent track for the money.
Good play for the money.
The North (Blue) course is the most difficult at the complex but is not overly challenging for a 18 handicapper playing from the back tees (6500 yds). However, there are some challenging holes; most notably, No. 4, 479 yd, Par 5, uphill draw off the tee, double dog-leg to a small, significantly sloped green; No. 8, 400 yd, Par 4, requires a cut tee-shot to a narrow fairway, OB left, with an 80 ft tree overhanging the right side of the fairway at the landing zone; No. 10, 199 yd, Par 3, plays through a tree-lined fairway and requires a slight draw to hit the green; No. 16, 538 yd, Par 5, severe dog-leg right, OB right off the tee with a 240 yd carry over a creek, a layup requires three great shots, the 2nd blind, to the green. The rough and fiarways are weedy, but mown and the fairways are not regularily watered. The greens are slow, but in good shape and well maintained.
For the price, it's a great deal and you will need play golf to score. Although high-handicappers mostly play the course, for the most part, the fairways are spreadout and except for a few holes, you won't hear "fore!" very often.
Wide open
Great spot for the price...............................................................................................................................................................................................
North Course is in good shape
For what it is, the course is in decent shape for the price. Pace of play was fine, and the North Course offered some challenging holes. It was a little swampy considering all the rain, but the greens rolled well, and there was a distinct difference between the fairways and rough (unlike some courses in the area). For the price, it is worth going back. Play the Blue tees though, as there is about a 900 yard difference from the whites. Shot 74 from the whites.
tough greens
challenging fairways and tough greens. Love the elevation changes. Will definitely return soon.
