September 2020
Front 9 just had greens aerated, would have been nice to know that in advance. Back 9 will likely follow suit this week.
Still like the fun layout, lots of risk-reward holes.
EAGLE
As you probably guessed I made a 2 shot EAGLE on the first hole. Chipped in from 100 yards. Only the 2nd EAGLE in my life. Gotta chase that hole in one now. This local course for me is a pretty good course. Walked 9 holes in less than 2 hours. Course is not too difficult but has its challenges. Good value $10 for 9 holes.
Covid Golf
Another 9 holes walking on a beautiful day. Course was a little wet due to recent rain. Sun peaked out at times. Slow pace due to lots of people like me enjoying opportunity to play. Carts are allowed but I'm gonna keep walking 9 I think and hopefully build up to 18. I'm 57 so we shall see.
Finally!
this was my first round of the year and of course since no carts are allowed it was walking 9 holes. I have not played this course in over a year but am familiar with it from playing it in previous years. good layout and the course was in good condition had a pretty good round.
Old Pontiac municipal
Always love playing this course. Great value on hot deals. Enjoyed playing with John and Khan.
Fun Course!
I always enjoy playing here. But they need a ranger or two to speed up play.
Always fun
As always Links at Crystal Lake is a fun track. Course was in great shape but unfortunately the greens were being airiated (sp?) today. Only complaint was that they allowed a group to slip in on the back 9 as we were making the turn. It really slowed the pace down significantly. I still like the course and will be back.
Great Golf Course
This is the first time I have played this course and I will definitely come back next week. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the course is in great conditions, golfers are professional and friendly, pace was excellent.
Low Round of The Year
Staff organizing patrons to get to first tee were less than helpful. But we got out and had a great time. My low round of the year made the day better.
Perfect Day for Golf
I always enjoy my rounds here. Front nine back-up is common on holes 7 and 8. Poor design. Once you are past those holes round goes smoothly.
Good course
Good course, well groomed, friendly staff, no driving range
Always A Good Time
Beautiful day, not so many bad shots. I like this course and it's a fairly easy drive here for me. No pun intended.
Different but fun
It’s an older former municipal I believe and is tight and short with a lot of water on the back. I think you really only need driver on maybe 2 or 3 holes as you need to be in the right spots here. There is nothing in the area other than the course and you wind through residential areas half the the time but seems well kept and is good study in course management I think. Played on Sunday 2 some and it moved along ok.
Very pleasant time.
This is the old Pontiac Municipal redesigned about 20 years ago. Nicely done. For as short as the course is, it offers a nice challenge. It pays to think your way around. Penalized for poor club choices. You are rewarded for good play. The clubhouse has been updated. They’ve done a nice job out there. Worth playing for sure.
