Good Value
Decent value for the money. Greens in good condition. Quite a few rough spots on the fairways, especially in front of some greens. Ground was pretty hard, course needs more frequent watering.
Deceent Value
Decent value for the money. Fairways a bit rough in a number of places. Greens appeared to be well kept. Course could use more frequent watering, ground was pretty hard throughouy.
palmer was good
good day at palmer.everyone was friendly and course was good .
Baddddd courses condition
Fairway grass was very long the entire course look like the rough area on other courses, has more potholes than the Detroit streets.
this course is good for getting you golf fix. it is local for me and good price
the course was in fair condition and the staff was great, I must say that since new management took over the last couple of years that the course is definitely improving
Wanna shoot your record score?
Easiest course i've ever played, alot of straight away holes, Its located in a location that might scare the general public away, but don't let that sway your opinion. Police station next door keeps you feeling NICE, grass needs to be cut a little more, some good decent shots could be lost. Overall great beginner course, I prolly would ony go here as a last resort, no offense, but when you've played at some nice courses, this deffinatley doesnt make the list. They need to lower price to make people go there, lil high priced for what it is...
Get what you pay for
$18 for 18 holes is hard to beat, but the conditions of the course were low at best. Between two of us lost 6-7 balls that should have been findable due to poorly managed rough/weeds.
Back nine is much more adventurous than the front, but neither will blow your socks off.
I will say that the staff was very friendly, but that one plus will not be enough to bring me back here again.
Horrible course
I've only been golfing for a couple years and have only been to maybe a dozen courses and this is BY FAR the worst course ever. The carts don't work and you have to give them a head start push manually every time. It's overpriced drastically for what you receive. And there are no fairways at all. the whole course is beaded in garbage 5 inch rough from left to right. And there's beds of unmaintained tall grass on every hole. That I'm sure are not set up like that on purpose. Their are trenches of mud and dirt also on half the holes and not to mention the whole park is infested with bees and mosquitoes. I suggest that no one ever waste your money on this awful course. You couldn't pay me to go back.
Terrible
I don't recommend this course to anyone! Terrible course and has no fairway. Staff told us that the back 9 grass was not cut so it will be difficult to find our ball. She told us this AFTER we paid. Just overall a bad course and bad grounds keeping
Good for pratice
Convinent location, mostly flat, you won't lose to many balls, greens are in good shape.
employee was very poor for customer treatment
very very poor for their attitude, please delist this course.
tight ,short , awesome greens
Hidden gem nice course tight fairways excellent greens true and well maintained
No character...needs lots of work
This was our first time playing at Palmer Park. I hadn't heard much about the course before except for it being very flat...well, it is EXTREMELY flat but that didn't really bother me. Almost every flag is straight ahead of where you tee off...there was one hole that had a dog leg right. The course is pretty short, so you can play it pretty quickly but it's in terrible condition. Felt like I was hitting golf balls in my backyard or in a park. There really are no fairways, all the grass is the same and if it wasn't for the greens (which are flat also) you wouldn't even think this was a golf course. The back 9 is much better then the front 9. I would NEVER spend money to play this course again, and we paid $14 for 18 holes on Labor Day. If it was free I wouldn't play it again.
Nice course
Nice course great course speed. Good greens, clean fairways, and good location
Fairways need to be re-greened/repaired
Everything is fine except the fairways and Iucks challenges towards the green.
Interesting layout, but not well maintained.
Unfortunately, this course is what I expected it to be: Not well maintained. Although the course layout is good (especially the back nine, which is quite challenging), the fairways were more like a first cut of rough, with weeds all over the place. Balls do not travel very far on the ground. On the back nine, several spots where recent rains and golf carts have shredded the turf. The price made me take a flyer on this course, but I got what I paid for.
The course layout is a tale of two nines. The front nine is pretty wide open. Not much penalty for pulling out the driver. if your tee shot goes errant, just take a shot from the adjoining fairway and get back on course. I played off the blue tees and it still was fairly short. Greens were firm and kind of slow. The back nine places a premium on accuracy. Dense woods and tall grasses line the fairways and surround the greens. Much more difficult.
Overall, if they would put the money into this course, this would be a nice course. However, as is, it was a disappointment.
for the price why complain
I was not able to tee off at the time purchased because I had to wait on an cart...my tee time was at 1238 I think I finally teed off around 120pm, the grass needs cutting. But for $14 18 holes and cart I guess I got what I paid for.
the course was in terrible shape...
I called ahead of time to see if they had cut the fairways and rough, as i had played there a fews days ago and the course was in bad shape. They said they were cutting that day and by the start of my tee time they would be cut, that was the only reason i booked the tee time. They had not cut anything, nor did i see any activity that looked like they were going to start. Everyone in my group complained all day and we had to spend extra effort and time looking for each others balls (in the fairway). We were losing balls in the fairway and just forget about it in the rough. Had i known the course was still in bad shape i would have gone somewhere else, in the current condition i would not play there for free...
greens are not bad!
the course needs a lot of work, very hard to tell the difference between fairways and rough!!!
Easy and Cheap
Usually don't have a problem playing thru or being rushed by other golfers.
Good golf for the price. Somewhat in the Ghetto.
