Wish this course was on GolfNow so I can play more

If it's not on GolfNow it just doesn't hit my brain to look at what they have to offer as I have to open up another website and sign in. Anywho, the course has always been great and continues to be well kept. I'm sure they've been busy this year and tees, fairways, approaches and greens were in good shape and not beat up or over played looking at all.
We played the back and got directed over there as a group of 8 who was on the tee behind another group of 8. Very cool, but for a Saturday at Noon I'm surprised they didn't have a full front 9 turning to the back. We never saw anyone behind us so awesome to play our game semi alone out there.
The back is a great test, 11 and 14 are tight/tough tee shots and 12, 15 and 16 are blow it wherever and you'll find it. Love that mix.
The best part about this course is you can pack in your own coolers full of beer, makes the $33 for 9 holes riding feel like they can get away w/ more dollars but I'm sure a corkage fee wouldn't go over well in West MI. Like this place, add those times to GolfNow so I can play more.

Love this course!

I really enjoy the challenge of this course. Fairways and greens were in great shape. The variety of holes is nice. Always see deer. It can be very slow at times but not bad if you pick the right time.

Tale of One 9

I had the opportunity to play this golf course as a part of my travels to Arcadia Bluffs. This was a nice golf course, and it has 18 holes, but when I checked in to play, I was asked to go off the back because of a large after-work group. I thought this was very accommodating and so I headed out. When I made the turn (for #1) I was informed that there was an after-work league, so I needed to play the back 9 again. I’m a golfer that just loves to play, so I ventured to back 9 again. this was a bit disappointing, but it’s better than not playing at all. The golf course was fun, and challenging, and I recommend you give this a try. The greens were small and smooth, and slightly on the fast side. There was some elevation changes, but I can’t speak to the front 9.

Must play in Grand Rapids

One of the best municipal courses anywhere. Greens are fast and true. Course is always in great shape. (Watch out of it's the week before the amateur, they'll have it more firm than you know what to do with) Don't be fooled by other options if you're visiting the area, Kaufman is as good as any course in Grand Rapids.

Meh. Not great not bad.

It’s okay course. Pace will be slow due to some holes not allow carts. So you have to a walk 50+ yards to your ball. Hit and walk back. I’ve waited for people who walk up realize they have wrong club then have to walk back. Easily waiting 15 minutes.

They allow a lot of singles so plan on letting them play through.

I’ll play a couple times a year but it’s not one I rush to play. Little pricey for the quality you get. Just meh.

Great Track

This is one of my go to tracks in Grand Rapids. Fair and challenging. I love the dichotomy between the open front 9 and the, somewhat, wooded back 9. Greens are maintained better than most in the area, don't read too much into the breaks as these greens run incredibly true.
Try to wait a few days to play this one after any rain: 1, 9, 10, and 18 are soaked for days after.

Don't Waste Your Money

L.E. Kaufman describes itself as "one of the finest". It's a nice course but WAY overpriced and the staff is ridiculously rude. We had a group of 7, a foursome and a threesome. The course got upset because the foursome couldn't keep up with the threesome. Really? When we made the turn, they made the foursome skip #10. There was no warning. There was no encouragement to keep up. Just skip a hole. Nevermind the fact that the front 9 was still completed in less than 2:15. It is a municipal course on a Saturday morning...who would've thought it would be busy. Half dead trees and unkept areas to close to the green attributes to the pace of play. There has to be better values in the area for your money.

one of the best muni's you'll ever play

This is one of my favorite West Mi. courses. Always a challenge. They hold a lot of Am. tournaments.for that reason. Definitely not for beginners. Course is in good, not great shape, but the greens are something else!! Old style park like course with some nice views: I love hole# 14 going through the pines.
