Resort course feel
Overall in terrific condition. A couple greens were not the best but still very enjoyable. Played very early and pace was fast. Great value.
Great shape for early season
Course is in pretty good shape. Couple green had some winter kill, but nothing that was to bad. Hole #17 green was the only really bad green. Give it time and they will have that green back soon. It was still puttable. Everything else was in great shape.
I also booked on teeoff.com. It is the old ezlinks booking website. Very easy to use and check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff and very helpful.
Tipsinah Mounds - A gem hidden in plain sight
Tipsinah Mounds is in great spring conditions right now. It was in good shape except for a few areas of the greens on the back nine that were being reconditioned. Fairways in excellent shape. Good grass driving range and putting area. Out of the way, rural, 30 minute drive from Alexandria. Great value! Good electric carts. Easy course without a lot of sand or water, but still a challenge.
This is about the 7th time I have used GolfNow to find a great deal while traveling around the country. As usual, we took a lengthy detour to get to the course, but it was for the great savings and it was well worth the effort. This was early season play for central Minnesota and the course was just starting to come alive again. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were freshly cut. It's a no frills course, so if you're expecting some fancy clubhouse, this is not it. But, the course was easy enough for two beginners.
Greens
For the average player this course is perfect. The great feature is the greens. For a rural Mn course the greens are large and true.
Great course in the country
This is a well maintained course with a nice layout. It's a forgiving course with ample fairways, but there is trouble looming if you find yourself off of them. It's a very fair course and enjoyable to play. The carts at this course are top notch; smooth acceleration (no neck brace required after your round) and gets you to your next shot FAST. The value you get from this establishment is by far the best I've experienced this year, bar none. Thank you Tipsinah Mounds!
