Emerald Vale
One green was very wet and a couple of fairways had some extreme soft spots, but other than that I felt the course was in good condition for play. I have played the course on several occasions and I like it.
Long
Ok to play but some long par 4s but make up for it with short par 4s
Emerald Vale Not what it was
The course is pretty run down. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes all look like they are lacking attention. Drainage seems to be a major problem also. The carts have seen better days. The course is being mowed, but the greens keepers don't seem to be able to keep things looking fresh and lush. It is not expensive so please give it a try yourself. You will only be out a small amount of money if you use a golfnow deal and then you can form your own opinion.
So so golf course
The fairway had to much water play in a lot of mud. They had got rain the night before. But there draining of the water wasn't good maybe if it was dry it would be better. Not that good for what they ask for green fee
Carts and flags in poor shape
Most of The carts that were parked ready to be used had broken windshields, duct taped broken corners or no windshield at all. It was a cold windy day when we played so we took one with a windshield that was not broken but it was older, cloudy and hard to see through.
The cart we had and the one our golf partners had were not in good running order. Frequent backfires..., the clutch didn't seem to work and we had to pump the gas pedal up and down, all the way and part of the way for it to take hold and run. Once going it ran well but once you stopped, we had to pump and pray.
The holes the flag sticks were in were totally warn out and the flags on almost every hole were leaning way over in the cup and could not stand up. We would have to hold them upright in the cup to putt or chip when off the green. The hole the flag base should sit in were just worn out and had no edge to hold the flag upright anymore.
That being said..., the course itself was in great shape. Some greens had winter die off but overall it was beautiful and challenging.
I would golf there again but wish they could afford to invest in better carts and flag cups for the holes.
Beautiful course and scenery.
Well designed-open and scenic course-with a good mix of hole types from short and long par 3's, elevated tees (ten), up hill play holes, dog-leg left and right holes, large greens with sand trap numbers that are not overdone.
