course
The staff was very friendly. Since it was the first warm day, the course was pretty backed up. All of the fairways were dead grass. The greens were in pretty good shape. I was not impressed with the course and will probably not play here again unless its an extremely good deal.
Great Deal, membership is cheap
We played the front 9. Staff was great and helpful. Didn't know this course existed till I saw it on the GolfNow app. They have a deal on membership that would allow unlimited play for a low cost. Course was a little dry and rough, but it is still early in the season and I am sure it will improve once weather is better here in Kansas City.
Great day for golf
The staff was friendly and the course was in good condition, especially for this time of year. We had a great round and perfect day.
Terrible, terrible, terrible.
Lets start off with this, who mows the golf course on a Saturday morning? I mean that should be one of the busiest times for a course so it should be as ready (as possible for a $30 course) for people to come out and play.
Second, I wasn't sure where the rough started and the fairway began. Grass was similar hight and qualitty (poor).
The ground was rock hard, to the point that I broke a tee trying to set up for a drive.
Now to the greens. Most of these greens had more in common with the landscape of the moon than they did to a golf green. Pock marks all over the place, enough to nearly stop a put, sand covering as much as 1/3 of the entire green, and at one point, a small replica of the Great Wall of China in the middle of the green.
The cart paths were poorly maintained, and I guess the wear and tear on the carts is their problem but I don't especially like my beer that foamy when I'm just driving from the green to the next tee box.
I will say that the course had a fun layout for what you'd expect from a $30 course in the middle of Grandview but the whole thing was so poorly maintained that if you could condemn a golf course on the grounds of structural integrity, this would be the poster child for that.
Will not go back until I hear from some other unfortunate soul that someone has taken over the course and has decided to care for it in even a marginal sense.
Nice course, good price
This was a nice course. It was not in the pristine shape I remember it being year s ago, but it was nice and very playable. Cool weather had lite traffic, so quick playing time. GolfNow price was great.
Good course
Good course, friendly staff, great deal. Will play again
Great Layout!
Great Layout, Course of just severly NEGLECTED. Fairways havent seen water since the last rain. That's the only time it see's water. Tee boxes are like concrete. I sprain my wrist inserting my tee into the ground. Fairway roughs are hard dirt with craters due to no water. All rules are out when you play this course. You have to roll the ball or find a peace of grass if you miss the fairways here on about every hole. Greens have been over watered and have started to burn. Bring Plenty of water for the tee boxes and to drink. There are no water coolers on the course and really no working ball washers. Place is a joke! Could be a hidden Gem of Kansas City if they'd take care of the place. Not gonna happen. The owner owns a sod farm. Imagine that, and they don't wanna water the golf course grass!
