Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Missouri (2016 #1)
Reviews
Chris H.
The greens were coming into shape and fairways were good. The areas around the green were pretty sketchy. The bunkers were atrocious. Just an okay experience for the money.
Awesome course lay out
I’ve golfed at eagle knoll a handful of times in the last 5 years. The course layout is great seeing lots of different variety. The greens were more beat up than normal. The absolute worst part is the new carts. If you veer off the cart path even alittle bit your cart beeps like crazy and then shuts off. Sometimes this even happened while on the cart paths. We took several shots where are parked on the cart path carts were beeping. It made the whole experience less enjoyable. We all agreed we would play eagle knoll more often if it wasn’t for these carts.
Eagle Knoll
Nice course. Challenging course, lots of elevation changes. “Shot makers” course. I recommend. Clubhouse is going through a remodeling, looks like its going to be nice. I’ll play again if back in the area.
Challenge at Eagle Knoll
I had heard about Eagle Knoll through a friend and he said it was a course well worth playing. So I saw an advantage to using a Golfnow discount and played last Friday. There was a considerable amount of people there but the pace was still good. The course was in excellent shape and with a slope of 130, you know that there's a hill of some sort on every hole. The carts are GPS equipped. You'll love playing this course, despite your score!
No maintenance
To bad, this course could be an amazing treat, but unfortunately there is absolutely no maintenance done and course is in really bad shape.
Best public course in mid Missouri
Eagle Knoll is often windy but on a good day is the best golf in the area. Layout goes with the terrain. Course and greens are often in good shape as they aerate regularly.
Great course, great folks, evil slopes and dry grass
Given the dry conditions and time of year, the course is in great shape. Wonderful and professional staff made the visit really nice. But you need to bring extra balls because the fairways are hard and dry, and there almost nothing flat anywhere on the course.
A Treat
The early November weather was amazing, the course had seen the burn of summer but golf was good.
Lots of elevation change and quick greens
Played at 940am on a Saturday. Staff was friendly and easy to check in. Hit some balls on range and practiced some putts. Overall played in 4 hours and 5 minutes. Plenty of elevation change and glad we had a cart. Greens were very quick and well conditioned. Bunkers were also in great shape. Highly recommended!
shooter's challenge
Eagle Knoll has a great layout, lots of elevation change, dramatic views and embodies just the right amount of challenge - you have to be a shooter and place your shots!
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the clubhouse is nice - quaint and adequately stocked. The restaurant and bar are typical for a unpretentious, public GC.
If you can go low here, you can do it anywhere!
Challenging course
Great challenging course only problem are the bunkers, poor sand quality.
Great Cours - FIX YOUR DIVOTS!!!!!!
I play this course almost exclusively. It is a shot making course and provides good challenges. Club selection is a must. Please golfers - FIX YOUR DIVOTS!!
Greens are good but divots are everywhere. Fix yours and 2 others. If you dont know how, google it and learn. This is a great facility and a great value - lets keep it that way!
Great for January
Great Layout Greens were freshly mowed in january temp about 50 challenging from whatever tees you select
