Crystal Springs Quarry Golf Club
About
Crystal Spring Quarry sits perched atop a bluff overlooking the Missouri River Valley. In 1888, the quarry was established and named after the crystal clear springs that meander across the landscape. Over a century later the historic quarry was transformed into a stunning 18-hole, public golf course. Mature forests surround three sides of the course and the fourth is bordered by Creve Coeur Park. The terrain was carefully preserved to the point that playing a round almost feels like wandering through a nature preserve. The protected wetlands, vast lakes, and meadows covered in native grasses were deftly utilized in the design. Water is naturally a major element of the golf course but there are also strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. It is a challenge, but five sets of tees make Crystal Spring Quarry more accessible for different skill levels.

Tough for,high handicappers
Had a great round. Staff could not have been nicer. It was very windy and made the course difficult...I would recommend to better golfers than me!
course good, golf now not
The course was good, we enjoyed it. I do not like paying $5 to book on golf now.com, will never use them again.
Tee boxes need work
Too early in the season to judge. May be too expensive for the shape its in
OK, not great
The greens were pretty rough, expected better for this time of year. The tee boxes were bare, not much grass growing. The starter (Craig?) was very friendly and very helpful.
Winter Golf
Tee boxes were terrible. They will have to re sod prior to good weather golf season in order to get my business again.
Come a long way in past few years
Used to be a course I stayed away from but things have seriously turned around for the better. Great operation, only issue I keep having is foursomes unwilling to let 1 or 2 play through causing slow pace.
Crystal Springs
The coarse dried nicely. Greens ran fast for this time of year. They got the coarse well ready after the winter we have had. They were cutting down one of the trees that was always in my way to get on in two at the old #18 hole par 5.
Greens in great shape play the forward tee boxes not black or gold.
Windy conditions do not mess with black or gold t box only for scratch golfer.
Good flat challenging course
Water, sand, length, small greens. All you want in a good course.
Great golf course
Course was still in great condition considering the recent drop in temps. Had an excellent time on this challenging course. Staff was awesome. Will play here again.
nice
I would say this was in great shape. A few of the greens had very bad ball marks but that is becasue most golfers don't repair them. Other then that very nice
Fantastic!
This Course has beauty like no other. The newest hole is a great addition since the tornado hit. However, I would like to see the original first hole as a challenge hole or the 19th hole.
Great day of golf!
I have not played here in over 7 years. I (we) were very impressed with the organization, condition, and pace of play. The course was in very good condition. I will be back.
well maintained, nature preserve, challenging par 3s!!
par 3 holes, save a short one, are as challenging as you will find on any top course in the country.
This course is short but challenging
Even from the gold tees it wasn't a long course, but with a lot of water and sand traps it made it pretty challenging.
First time visit, will be going back...staff was great!!!
Played this course for the first and couldn't have been more pleased with the staff. The starter went above and beyond explaining some of the ins and outs of the course since it was our first time there. He even went and grab a not so good tee shot that went into the driving range off the first tee.
Course was in great shape and I enjoyed the layout, will be going back again and again. Great course, great people!
Remember you who have paired up.
I had an unfortunate experience. My brother and I play golf every weekend. July 14th was our first time visiting this course. We were paired with two very inexperienced golfers who, as you can imagine slowed our pace way down. while waiting for them i was approached by a marshal who informed me (quite condescendingly) about rate of play. It was then I informed him I would love to keep rate of play and perhaps my brother and I could skip a couple holes ahead to break this up. i was told no. 5 holes later I was approached again!!! I could do nothing about the rate the people I was playing with. further I will not pay you so that I can police your lesser skilled golfers. the first warning was one thing but after I had given an adequate explanation and offered a solution, you have the nerve to approach me a second time? Poor form, Poor etiquette, poor staff.
good Course with some challenging holes
A fun and challenging course to play and a good value. Water comes into play on several holes. Although mostly flat, there are elevation changes on a couple of holes.
