great value, good course to learn on
It was windy and a bit cold, but still had a great time.
Course was about empty so pace of play was EXCELLENT (I love to play fast) It's a very good course for learning as it's pretty tough to lose a ball.
( I didn't lose one this time at all)
Fun course!
Wide open. Greens in great shape. Very enjoyable round despite the chill & windy conditions.
An absolute gem
Please keep this course a secret. What a gem to play. Exceptional staff. Conditions and upkeep are great.
Half of the Quarry
Was shocked to learn that a course I had played for years had been cut in half. But the course was in great condition.
Country Creek The Rock
Once again a perfect course. Great recovery conditions after all the flooding rains in the area. Keep up the great job!!
Great value
Played this course a handful of times. It's a great place to play during the week due to lower green fees and less people playing.
The course is now in good condition but parts of the cart path could use some work.
The course was in decent shape
The course seems to be improving its condition after several years of declining. I had family in town and they let us play as a 5some.
Play somewhere else
The greens are a mess. Putting through a mine field on most greens. Cart path is a mine-field also. Drive on the grass. You could certainly injury your back driving on the cart path. Fairways were ok. We've played here before. Expectations were low and the visit was below expectations. This is perhaps the cheapest golf in the KC area, but it is not worth it. The pro-shop/club house is also unpleasant.
Overbooked
Upon arrival I saw the parking lot jammed and sure enough it was league day. In the pro shop I was given a receipt and told to go up the street to their other course, Hoot's Hollow. The pace was glacial, no marshals to speed Up play, and I couldn't get paired up with anyone so I left after 6 holes, rather than wait 10 minutes between each shot.
Good Value
Many of the greens were damaged, fairways were in good shape, and staffs were nice and friendly. I would like to return when there damaged greens are repaired.
Great Value
Course is wide open and the greens are large but had some rough spots on them. overall the course is a great value and the pace of play is your own.
Challenging
It was wet & cold with few golfers on the course. First time and we joined with experienced player. That was a help. Fairways were in good shape. Like the layout. The greens were spotty with dead sandy spots. We'll play again when it's warmer as this is fun layout and a great bargain.
Great Time!
The greens could use a little attention. Great value and so much fun! Staff was very nice and helpful.
Everything was great but the greens
I booked through GA and had a wonderful experience with the check-in, course staff, equipment, facilities, etc. The only drawback was the greens seem to have been attacked by a fungus or something rendering various spots unusable. The course staff did a good job placing pins in spots where the damaged green did not come into play as much. If you had to putt through a damaged spot it would be like putting through 5 feet of asphalt in the middle of your line. The rest of the course was in fine shape for early March and again for emphasis, the staff was as nice an accommodating as could be. The clubhouse even had a good burger on the turn. Overall I was pleased as it was an outstanding value when receiving a GA Hot Deal discount. It would have been much tougher to swallow the greens condition had a paid full price or if scoring was a primary concern to me. An extra stroke or two is not a primary concern for me as I am shooting near 100 anyway.
Holdmeyer Big Hitter
Not bad for February, some greens need work. Pace was good and tee boxes were good.
Great peoplen
Best cheese burgers in the area
Great value. Greens need work.
I played this course Sunday with a buddy of mine and it was fun course to play. We played on the quarry which starts out in the opposite side of the road as club house. The course in general was in pretty good shape, however, it felt like most of the greens were burnt out and had large bare spots. The course is wide open so it's great for players they spray the ball in all directions as we do/did. The back nine gets confusing with the two courses winding through each other but it's really not that bad. A final negative is that they turned on the sprinklers on the greens as we were playing which was not great and change the green speeds drastically from hole to hole. This course is fun and challenging I would definitely go back hoping the greens issue was fixed.
