2nd time
Just like the first. Seemed to be more flying insects on the front nine
Old Oaks
Played 18 in just over 4 hrs. Pace of play was good we let a single golfer go ahead after that it was pretty smooth. A few of the greens were kinda rough but not as bad as some of the previous reviews. They had a beverage girl on a weekday which was awesome. Great value !!
I did not play the marsh
This website won't let me review the course I played which was the old oaks course
OVER PRICED!
Played this course a few times this year. WAY OVER PRICED for what you get. Course is in bad shape from the tee boxes to fairways to greens. Worst greens I’ve seen all year. Sand traps are ALL unplayable. There’s never a ranger out here so expect to get stuck behind someone playing 5 different balls. Bathrooms are always locked and never a drink cart. If it was $25 a round it would make sense but $62 on weekends and $45 on weeks is RIDICULOUS regarding the careless maintenance and experience you’ll get on the marsh.
Only good thing is its always open because no one plays it. Witch makes sense …..
Greens Need a Little TLC
I love this course and have been playing here at least once a year for the last 14 years.
Round started in some drizzle, and the rules were rough and Cart Path only. Fairways were wet but not spongy which is good consider it rained heavy the night before.
Greens have some patches that need repair. Pins were place away from some on them, but I am not good enough to target flags like that so I dealt with the issue for most of the round.
Staff and amenities were excellent as always.
Definitely will be back!
Jabdilla marsh
We have had a lot of rain lately but course seemed to handle it ok.I teed of around 630 so not all the greens were rolled yet but that’s what you get early everywhere.only issue was that halfway through I needed a bathroom stop .restroom’s not open on course .
Old Oaks- Brings backs memories of yesterday
Had an early tee time , went out 7am by myself. Only one other player on course before me. Maintenance all over over getting course getting ready for day. Very professional and courteous. Course was wet, greens were burned and bumpy in sections.on numerous ones. Tee boxes need to be cleaned up. I believe a lot had to do with myself being out so early, not groundskeepers doing there job. This is why I gave a 4.
Decent
Overall decent course, friendly staff, link style but bar cart came every 4-5 holes.
Some difficult holes for sure but overall good condition. 2 greens had some issues but looks like they are trying to repair.
Fun layout, but poor conditions
There was absolutely no reason to try putting on these greens, as they ultimately are in worse shape than most of Michigan's roads. The tee boxes were in really bad shape as well (which I do point the finger a bit at golfers not filling their divots on the Par 3s).
I was golfing solo at twilight so the pace of play was about as fast as it could possibly be. I just can't in good conscience recommend this course to anyone on the state of the greens alone.
Tough and Fun
Paid 25 for 18 with a cart and it was well worth it. Course was wide open and I finished in three hours with a buddy. You can tell they are putting love into improving the course. Nice grass range, no mats.
Only complaint is that because it’s a links style course you can’t hit the clubhouse at the turn for a hotdog.
Not Bad for the Price
Green are in rough shape, with ant hills and bald spots that are prominent enough to redirect simple putts. Cart girl came around once, which is fine. Decent round with pace pretty decent.
I would go back.
