The course was shut down because of the hurricane put my money back in my account
Did not play Hurricane
Ok the Avalon golf course was closed because of the hurricane I need my money back in my account at the bank, I do like the course I have played it before! It’s a regular standard golf course not very hard to play and Beginner should like this course ,you can have dinner here when you’re finish!
Good Value
Winter time play. Had the course near enough to ourselves. Greens rolled pretty well for the time of year.
A great change of pace
A great time. This course is a great change of pace. A very nice layout, good conditions especially the greens. Playing in November can be a challenge but the pace of play was very fast. The leaves and fall debris were cleared and the grass was in great shape. The staff was very cordial. If your looking for a course to challenge all aspects of your game this is it.
Slow
We played 10 holes in just over 3 hours - it was terrible
Challenging to the green
Most of the greens are guarded with sand or trees.
Not worth it
Very slow pace for a Monday afternoon. No rangers out asking players to pick up the pace. Waited on every hole. Left after 9. Course was dry and dusty other than the greens which were slow . In the past, I’ve had a good experience here
Great Jersey shore golf course!
Avalon golf club is really a great course that is very well maintained and has terrific amenities. Course was a great value and the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend!
5 hour and 15 minute round
Had to wait every hole and it was a Friday afternoon in September. It will be our last time here
Beautiful in the Fall
Avalon Golf Course is closely located near the summer towns along the Jersey Shore. During the Summer months it is hard to play not only because of the tourist but the high summer rates.
The Fall is a greatvtime to play, rates are lower and the course is not as crowded.
It is a great little course, in great shape and I love the lay out.
Our only compliant was the extremely slow play . Seems like a long wait on every shot.
They have a very nice restaurant with out door seating and live music in the evening s.
Beautiful course towards the shore. Had a wonderful afternoon with friends. Only wish the wind had been a little less. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, greens and tee boxes were very well maintained. Will definitely play this course again!!
Great Staff
Friendly club. Great people who work there. Due to excessive rain this summer as good as could be expected. Dennis and Ted make everyone welcome
Course condition should be better.
Many fairways are in poor or just ok
shape.Greens good condition. Owners not putting money into conditions. Been playing course for 20 plus years.
