Needs minor attention that could make it a better experience.
Only issues were mosquitos being out of control and there were a lot of ball marks on the greens that need repaired. With some sort of mosquito control and some attention paid to customers repairing ball marks the visit would have recieved 4 stars and a well maintained rating.
Great experience
The Woodlands was a good course for the intermediate player. It is open enough to allow for some errant tee shots, but difficult enough in the right places for better players to rise to the occasion.
Our round was at 12:30 on Saturday and the pace of play was very quick. We completed our round in 3.5 hours and never waited longer than a minute or to to tee off or hit onto the green.
The fairways were in good shape, and the rough was lush. The greens were trimmed a little too tight making for fast and difficult puts. Overall a great experience.
When our round ended at 4:00 we could have easily gone out for 18 more holes. The course was largely empty. Only about 20 cars in the lot.
Good condition for early season
We had to play most of the round in drizzle, but the course drains well. Other than some mud on the ball, we found very little standing water on the course. The Greens were a little bumpy, but the rest of the course was in good shape.
Challenging Short Track
Early season round at The Woodlands...Overall the course was well-maintained though the greens could've used a spruce. Just a mow would have cleaned up the dead worms present due to recent damp weather.
The course is a short track, but offers challenges due to the presence of plenty of hazards + bunker placement. One can definitely score, but won't bore in doing so.
Friendly staff, especially our starter, and they make a shockingly good cup of coffee.
At a GolfNow price of $20 The Woodlands was a great value.
Friendly Staff
I play this course quite often as it is in my home town. I receive a discount for being a local resident but that does not stop the staff from treating me with utmost respect.
Good little course
Nice course just not very long good bang for the buck got for 19 bucks a player on golf now.
Price was Right
Golfnow had a great twilight rate for 18 holes/cart for a perfect fall day. The par 71 course from the tips plays ~6100. Excellent practice for long iron work, as the driver can be left in the bag on many holes.
Greens had not been mowed, and the aeration had recently been completed which left them slow and bumpy.
the greens were in great shape
All in all it was fine, but i wouldnt have traveled that far if it wasnt for Golf Now.com.Carts need to be worked on or changed and a little more care around the greens (hardpan) could help.Pace of play was great.
Short easy course
This course is very short and fairly easy. i do not think I used my driver more then twice and was within 100 yards on almost every hole. I hit 6 iron/ sand wedge on most holes. The condition was pretty good and the greens were true. The service was not great as our tee time was somehow in the middle of an outing so we had to wait 40 min to tee off.
Great Layout and Play
The fairways are wide, and the greens are well placed.
Water hazards and bunkers are fun obstacles. Nothing surreal.
Great staff, which you dont get to say all the time.
One of my favorites to play when its just for fun and sun.
nice course
not a real good location. needs some work to get to the way it was when it first opened
