Flanders Valley Golf Course boasts two championship courses that sprawl across the rolling countryside of Morris County. The facility is considered one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey and has even been ranked as one of the top 75 public courses in the country. The Red-to-Gold Course has a hillier terrain than the other course, White-to-Blue, which has a more traditional design. It is the more challenging of the two courses with mature trees scattered throughout and uneven lies provided by the elevation changes, which also offer scenic views of the idyllic surroundings. The Red-to-Gold's seventh hole is the most difficult of all the 36 holes at Flanders. This tricky par 4 has trees flanking both sides and it is also subject to the prevailing winds.

Poorly managed

Flanders Valley is the home of the 5 hour round & the worst bunkers in golf. There are bird baths & french drains on multiple fairways.
I played Sunday, 9/25. The round took 5.5 hours. There was an outing & management saves money by not employing rangers.
Its sad to watch Indigo mismanage the fun course & run it into the ground.

Same old Flanders

The greens were firm and fast. Fairways were high because of the heat and dry conditions. Better that than NO grass at all.
Rough was long also, but ok.
Bunkers and Tee boxes need lots of work.
NO water available to drink other than 1/2 way house.
Haven't played here in over a year, just about what I expectedly
