Prefer to Ride
SO I screwed up by not seeing that my booking was walking only, and I forgot my pull cart (which I hadn't used in 2 years). They also didn't have any to rent (since it's a private club) but there were a couple junkers members had left which my buddy and I adopted for the round. Mine made it halfway down the 1st fairway, when a metal support bent 90 degrees, rendering it useless.
But I don't hold that against them and I look forward to playing when I can ride since I couldn't make it through the round on foot, and it's an easy walking course if I was in shape for it, but not also carrying clubs at least part of the time.
There's nothing fancy, just some nice playable holes with nothing tricked up and just enough in the way of hazards to make it legit. Few bunkers and just some water, and greens are on the smaller side as with most old clubs. But conditions were excellent for February and greens were a nice speed and clean rolls.
Staff was friendly and the 19th hole was very nice and modern, with a decent burger for a couple hungry, tired guys.
First Timer
Nice conditions for a mod winter round. Helpful staff. Appreciate the chance to play a well maintained private track.
Not Private Course.
It's not a private course. It's a school course. That's what they mean by "Private Access." Low-level muni course. Good course for locals to come out for a walk. Not worth driving from distance. Not worth the money. My fault for mis-understanding.
Peddie GC
Great condition especially for winter.
Nice winter round
For the time of year course was in excellent condition. Stellar leaf management. They should give lessons! Greens were properly winterized and rolled smooth. Play was a little slow at times but still a great round.. I've only been here for outings so it was a lot more challenging than I remember. Since access is limited to the general public I will play again if deal is right.
Course in perfect condition. Smooth, pretty fast greens, simple straightforward private club. Amenities and atmosphere remind me of good golf clubs in the UK. It’s all about playing golf and camaraderie amongst the members
Painfully slow play
Two groups in front had no self awareness re how much they were holding everybody up. Twosome in front of me abandoned the routing and went from finishing hole 3 to starting hole 7.
But it was a great price and interesting design.
Not worth it
So open you can see from one fairway on to several others and very confusing where the tee boxes are located. Very boring, no personality to the course. So many better places in the area to play. ESPECIALLY when it comes to price. The county courses in the area are nicer.
Save you money not worth it!
Website stated resturant / club house Not open all though the website read as open. Bathrooms were locked. All drink locations had HOT water in the coolers they have not been tended to in days. It was like a joke 1 person running the place. We would never go back. Private for a reason it is a dying golf course. RUN from it
Short but Sweet
Old classic course that will test your skills and putting. Awesome conditions tee to green!!!! Play whenever its available!
