Inexpensive course, hard to find
We struggled finding this place! It was far from where we live and we didn’t realize when we booked. They were really good about us showing up late, but it’s really just a start whenever course, there is no starter. The route google maps had us go on took us to a private entrance, and we kind of had to wing it when we got to the area. Limited drinks and food, but I am guessing you can byob. No restrooms throughout the course that I saw. Otherwise, course is good. Grass was cut - roughs were ok, greens were average. It’s a good course for your money once you get there.
Under repair
When my playing partner and I got there a little after 12 for our 12:30 tee time, no one else was on the golf course. Which made for a very fast round. But when we got to the first green, we found out why no one else was out there. The greens were all under repair covered with aeration holes and sand. It made putting very difficult on every hole. The thing is, I can't complain too much about this because in my last review, I criticized how threadbare the greens were and that they needed attention. So kudos for being proactive on course maintenance, but it did kind of sour this round for me. But it only took a little over an hour!
The course isn't kept up very well
I wasn't sure what to expect my first time playing the course this year, but I didn't expect it to be in as poor a condition as it was in October of 2022. The greens are threadbare and the fairways have a lot of bare spots. It didn't help that it rained a lot the day before, so a lot of the course had standing water. Even without standing water, my golf shoes were immediately soaked the first time I walked over to my ball on the first fairway. If the owners don't start investing money into the upkeep of the course, it's going to end up like Apple Mountain Golf and go out of business because no one wants to hit off of crabgrass on either the fairways or the greens.
Fun 9 holes
I only played 9, but would be interested in playing the course twice next time. They offer multiple pin placements and alternate tee boxes on holes so you can craft a different experience on the 2nd 9.
Nice layout and variety
The course is budget friendly and has a good mix of par 3s and par 4s with 1-2 par 5s. Gentle undulations. Greens are in good shape. Staff is friendly and so are fellow Golfers.
very slow, no rangers
don't play here if you have someplace you need to be later. Course was so slow I picked up my ball and went back in. No starter, so the order is left to the players to figure out. They let 2 beginners out at 12:40 pm on the first Sunday we had good weather, and they had no clue what they were doing. Nine holes would have taken forever. The best things I can say are 1) low price, so I didnt walk away from a big spend, and 2), when I explained to the pro shop why I left the course, they happily gave me a bucket of range balls and we called it even. I hit for awhile on their grass range (short, only 170 yds) and chipped and putted.
Good venue for 9 holes or play every hole twice for and 18 hole event
Was a good experience at a fantastic price. Motorized carts are never included, cost 12 Dollars. Some fairways needed to be cut, maybe letting over seeding efforts grow out. Greens were in good shape although people should really fix their ball marks on the greens, C'Mon it takes like 15 seconds to do this. Greens were damp from heavy rain the previous day and it was very evident with many fresh ball marks. Pro Shop gal was friendly and helpful.
