Great practice course
It was great being greeted by name when we walked in to pay! Me and a buddy had an 11:10 tee time.....we teed off before 11. By the sixth hole there was still noone behind us. The fairways and tee boxes were in pretty good shape. However most of the greens were sketchy as were the traps. Thought it was funny that most of the rakes in the traps were broken! The course itself was pretty challenging for my 20+ handicap. Yardage markers were not always available.....maybe some simple yardage postings on the cart path would be helpful. With some financial help Miry could be very popular. Overall $38 for two with a cart can not be beat. I enjoyed my round at Miry Run and would recommend it to any golfer.
Great for the Money
This looks like it was a very well maintained course at one time. With a lot of golf courses falling on hard times this one has also taken a hit which is ashame. It is a challenging course that needs some TLC. It took us a little longer to play due to it being our first time. The back 9 was in better condition then the front but over all not the worse course we have played by far. There is no longer any food at the course although it looks like they had a bar and restaurant there at one time.
Great price
Not the best course, however, the price was outstanding from golf now. Course needs some fixing up but, all And all we had a good time. Greens were extremely quick. The course was not busy at all and we blew around it in about three and a half hours. I had a fun time.
Miry Run
Lots of water, be precise or pay the price. Great play for the price.
Ok for the price
No a lot of golfers on course during the week. so speed of play is great. Course wasn't in the best condition (but it hasn't been for a few years now), some greens were real bad. Fairways had some issues. Bunkers full of stones very little sand.Course is challenging. No snackbar, closed. no bathrooms on course.
Near a small airport.
Not crowded. Condition of the course was average. Fun to play
Not worth it
If you like conditions that are rock hard making it impossible to take a divot, crabgrass and weeds all over, burnt out and dead spots of grass all over then this is the course for you. Not sure why people would pay anything to play this course.
Average course
Overall, poor maintenance. Lots of weeds in fairway, lots of weeds/grass in sand traps, and many dead spots in greens. Course layout very nice and if $$$ was put into course has a lot of potential. Right next to small airport where planes are taking off along fairways and makes course unique.
Last Resort only
At one time a nice track, Miry Run seems to have fallen on hard times. Used to really enjoy playing here. Challanging but fair layout, used to be kept in great condition. Now there are weeds and bare spots all over the course. Grass not cut for the weekend play (1 of 3 balls hit in primary rough off the tee were lost)! Bunkers are unkept and virtually unplayable! Thought we were getting a bargain at $40 for a Sunday morning but it was not worth the trip. On a plus side, the carts are still in decent shape.
Below average but not crowded
Staff is friendly. Driving range annoying, you cannot use a driver. Grass is mowed well but the place could use a bit more fertilizer. Green are, sorry, poor. They are generally flat. The course is actually challenging and entertaining. This is not an easy course. It has so much possibilities to be a better course with a bit more maintenance. The very best part is the place is hardly ever crowded! You can tee up two balls and putt two balls on every green and not annoy anyone. You can really practice here. OK there is an airport right next to the course but it isn't too bad. I am hoping I never hit a plane coming down!
Country golf
If u do not like crowds then miry run is for you.
The course conditions were fair to poor but you get to see wildlife and planes as a few holes parallel the
Runway of the Robbinsville airport.
Good course to practice your game.
Miry run
This course is terrible condition ... Sandpit nothing but rocks... It's needs a lot of work... Greens r half dirt... In this condition the price is not worth it
value
good course for the $. will play again. course needs to fix a few fairway issues.
Seems Like It Would Have Been Nicer 5 Years Ago
A nice little course, but think it was struggling in the economy and turned public. Parking lot and club house are a bit run down. For $30 though it was a great course to play. First 4-5 holes are pretty tough having to cross the creek a couple times. Both times I have played there I haven't had anybody in front of us holding us up or riding up on us behind us. Were able to breeze through 18 in 3 hours 45. Very cool seeing the planes take off.
Great deal
Challenging but fair, greens were in good shape but bunkers could use new sand.
Never Again
The group I play with we play golf all over Nj, always trying new places. This place may be the worst. Most greens, not all but most were burnt , looked like water hasn't hit them in a month. The sand traps were concrete, no sand, filled with rocks. One actually had the drainage pipes sticking out of sand. You had to relieve your ball or you would damage your clubs.
Very unfortunate, the place could be a great course but it just isn't.
The gentleman working check in, real nice guy, another plus was the young man keeping all coolers filled with ice water, it was warm so that is always a plus.
Greens are not well kept
Value for the money. Bit challenging for a beginner
Fantastic Day
Always wanted to try this course since my printing shop is less than 1 mile away on Route 130. Took the day off and my son and I went around 11am on a Tuesday. Not too crowded and we weren't rushed at all. Was treated very nice by the staff.
A good day turned great when my son told me what a great time he was having with me! And I felt the same! No hassles and just enjoyed the day and hit a few good ones. Its also very neat to have some planes fly overhead once in a while!
Good value for the money
Good value, challenging from the tips. Some bunkers could use new sand.
