Very Nice Public Course
East vs West Course .
East is much more compact and contains some odd dog leg tee-to-green holes but.
Like the more stretched-out interesting West …
Tee Boxes, fairways bunkers and greens are above average well kept.
Very Good first impression
I finally got around to golfing this course. It was better than I expected, with mostly level holes, greens that were manageable, and only a few narrow fairways. It has it's fair share of bunkers and a few water hazards but none overly difficult. I'm looking forward to playing it again and to also try it's sister course, valley east.
Course is a friendly and comfortable layout. It is an ego booster and fun to play. The staff is very accommodating. I have played the East and the West many times and always enjoyed each round
Stepping it up
Renovations and added features on the holes are a good touch. A lot of work being done around the club house is great to see- excited to see the end results. Disappointed the in county discount isn’t a little better.
Preakness In April
Speaking of the west course here - place is in great shape. They left it closed all winter and it shows. The rough is rough !!! Hit the fairway or be prepared for a penalty punch out. 1st cut is friendlier and greens are rolling true not fast but rolling smooth. I like this place and keep it in regular rotation. The golf shop staff can be a little rough around the edges sometimes and ya can get paired with a mixed bag of golfers but that’s public golf post pandemic. Live, love and play away. See you soon n the fairway. Golf now should pay green fees for reviews like this !
Bare Bones layout
Nothing really inspiring about layout, eh would be best to describe course. Hard to get past $80 w/ cart, payed half that so it wasn’t so disappointing.
Well kept
Nice long course. Many holes over 400 yards. You can see deer running around. Back 9 is newer. 3rd hole is tough since dogleg is early on. May need to cut down first few trees.
