short course with some bite...

From the tips its only 6400 yards but this course does have some teeth. Tree lined with situational narrowing of the fairways and guarding of the mostly crowned greens. Fairways are fluffy so don't expect much roll out but lies are solid. Unfortunately #12 is the silliest design/mangling of a golf hole I've ever encountered.
That said for $15 w/ cart its a great deal and i enjoyed the experience.

Yes, number 12 was squirrelly but since has been opened up on the dramatic "dogleg". Now in process of grading the hill down and sodding.

Tree lined with situational narrowing of the fairway and guarded greens that are mostly crowned. Fairways are kinda fluffy so there isn't much roll out on tee shots, greens are pretty well kept.
Unfortunately with all this course has in its favor hole #12 is the poorest designed hole i've ever played...still worth playing especially for $15 with a cart through golf now.

Tough Course

Lots of shots close to OB. There was an event going on so it was crowded with a lot of drunk individuals.

Good choice for the 14-25 handicapper. Good layout, but not challenging.

Course was in average condition. Pace of play was pretty good - 1 pm mid-week. The layout is straight forward. Not challenging, not punishing.

An OK course, but terrible pace of play.

Golfed here on a Saturday afternoon. The course was in OK shape, but doesn't offer a ton of variety (par fours and fives are mostly drive, pitch, putt...putt... putt).

The worst thing: pace of play. There were two five-somes in front of us, then two twosomes... took 5.5 hours to play the course. By the end the 10 minute wait between holes was just too much and my game went south.

Ok

The overall condition of the course was fair. The tees were decent and grass was mostly thick with a few holes having bare areas that were a little burned out and dry in the middle of playing areas. The greens were firm and slow. I have played the signature 18 here before and would much rather play that course. If you plan to play majestic oaks try to play the signature course.

Nice course with a bit of challenge

This is a nice course in the northern suburbs. I've always enjoyed playing the courses here over the years. Will definitely be back for more.

This is a great course to walk or ride.

I found this course to be forgiving with wide fairways and large putting surface (s). Did not care for the driving range set up (located next to the 1st tee box and hitting off mats). Well maintained and interesting layout. Lots of fun, low scores are quite possible and a relaxing atmosphere.

loved the challenges

this is a fun and challenging course. A good variety of length, openness and the cart girl did a great job of keeping me supplied with liquid refreshments. ; )

great experience!

the staff was cordial and the course is well-maintained and offers a challenge for golfers of all capabilities. I was especially impressed with the condition of the greens and the overall speed of play. This is my second time playing the Crossroads Course having played the Signature Course many times over the years. I believe the overall condition of the Crossroads was excellent given the weather conditions the past few months. Challenging and interesting! Would recommend to anyone.

The course is overall in good condition. The greens were a little rough with lots of ant hills on the greens.

I am not an advocate of slow play. The group in front of our group very obviously should have been on the executive course and not the regulation course. During the 5 1/2 hour round I saw one ranger and he was just driving through. The group behind us eventually started getting as frustrated as we were and started to hit their shots into us. Poor course management and speed of play will not bring me back to Majestic Oaks anytime in the near future.

the course was way overbooked & play was horribly slow and backed up at every hole

The play was extremely slow with 4 parties backed up on hole 2 and back ups on every hole. It was hard to get in a golfing groove with so much waiting. Very disappointing! We finally finished 9 holes in 3 hours!

Bad Planning

When I got there there was a really long line because there was only one person behind the counter. Then I get to the starter and they are all confused and don't know who is playing with who. Then they let out five somes who are walking and have small kids. Then they had no gatorade on a 90 degree day. VERY POOR PLANNING!!!

Nice course for a beginner golfer looking to play their 1st 18 holes.

Pace of play was too slow, they need a patrolling ranger moving groups along

This course is only worth playing if you can get a severely discounted rate.

Although our booking was for 18 holes, the pro shop rang us up as "Twilight" which only entitles you to as many holes as you can finish (before league play begins.) This was not a factor for us until we made the turn, and found 2 new groups teeing off in front of us (Following the group we had been playing the whole time.) This caused a MASSIVE delay in our round time (we were at ~1.5 hours on hole 8) and finished the back nine in a RIDICULOUS 2.5+ hours. It is TERRIBLY poor for a golf course to send off 3-4 groups on the back nine, when the front was already booked full all day.

Good course for the value

Overall a pretty fun course. The par 4's are fairly short and you don't really need your driver on about 60% of them. Fairways are more narrow than not so the ability to place your shot trumps distance. Greens are very big so hitting GIR is easier than not. That being said, if you've never played the course before you don't really know the magnitude of the greens until you're on them. I left myself a lot of long putts because I didn't know this. Greens were in good condition. Not slow, but not quick either. Overall I had a good time on this course. I wouldn't make the drive again to play it but I did have a good time.

This course has an average features.

The golf course is in a good condition. There were couple of holes that were a bit challenging. The pace of play on this course is very poor management it took me 5 1/2hrs to finished. I saw a ranger drove by 3 or 4 times but he doesn't ask the two some in front to keep pace and then the worse of it all, there were six some in front of the two some. And then I have three groups behind waiting to tee off on very holes. I meant i like the course but they need to manage it better. And don't be afraid to tell their men's club member to keep up the pace of play.

Not anywhere near as good as their Signature Course

Not a very fun course. A lot of O.B. very close to the greens. After hole #1, you do not see the clubhouse again. There were no refreshments offered on the course at all. I never saw a beverage cart. Their "Signature" course is a much better experience.
