Great course for the money
Course for November 26th in Rochester was in excellent condition, no leaves on the course, and it looked like the fairways were recently mowed. The GPS carts were a plus even though they wouldn’t let you on the fairways because it was a little too soft. They were just looking after the golf course. Would recommend this golf course.
Meh
Usually love this course but the pin placements were horrid when I played. A couple feet from the side of the green, and/or on slopes made putting virtually impossible. The greens keeper must hate golfers based on where he put the pins.
Bob from Sarasota and Canandaigua
The owners have done a wonderful job of this course. I enjoy playing it very much
Favorite course
We always find this course in good condition, the layout is interesting with several hills and not a lot of water or sand traps. The play is about 4 1/2 hours for 18 holes. The carts are nice but they lack a cooler for water and they do not have a GPS. There are a few distance markers but that could be improved. The pro shop was very helpful; it’s unfortunate at this time that the restaurant isn’t open. Overall the course is well worth the price.
Never bored.
Excited playing again and again. Course is in excellent shape and challenging greens.
Wild Woody
Great course. Tucked in its own little neck of the woods. Beautiful fairways and views. Staff is friendly!!
Very Nice Corse
Fun Course with friendly welcoming staff and plenty of challenge.
Great value and fun!
Every hole was unique and different. Challenging but not unfair. Fairways, greens and rough were all nice. Enjoyed the experience.
Exceptional Value
This is typically an excellent option on GolfNow.
Whether you live, or travel to the Rochester area. If you see Wild Wood as a hot deal on GolfNow, it’s a safe bet you’ll be wowed by the value of the deal listed.
Wild Wood is a very well maintained course. It’s not quite on the top tier of courses in the area, (Ravenwood, Deerfield, Greystone). However, it’s only slightly below those courses, and you’ll pay substantially less to play here.
This is a traditional style course, (compared to a links course) such as Ravenwood, Greystone, or Mill Creek. However, you usually have enough room incase you go into the rough, to have a decent look / punch shot, back into the fairway.
Though, there def are a good amount of both water and sand hazards throughout the course.
The couple areas I feel this course could improve a tad on, are the sand bunkers, (racked though are lacking sand currently, and the at turn kitchen). Nothing bad, though a little dated.
Though, don’t let those minor details scare you off as I would much rather play two rounds here, compared to one of the other courses I have listed.
The pro shop and bathroom amenities are very nice!
Rain
Course was in good condition but due to the rainy conditions the ground crew hasn’t been able to cut the rough
