Pick a hill, any hill, wow!
Fun course, up, down, left, right, no level ground here, really enjoyed it.
Excellent
Always worth it. Stormed the day before and course still in perfect condition
Great course. Hills and blind shots
One of my favorite places to play. If you get the chance play it. Soft but fast greens that hold even in summer. Great fairways. Challenging with hills and blind spots. take the time to go look at the hole before you play it. The pace of play is quick but no one pushes you from behind.
Great
Staff and course were fantastic. Course is a little tricky the first time, must put your ball in the right spot a few times.
Great Course and layout
This course is a must play. It was in excellent condition and is a challenging course. It is better than most of the country club courses in the area and definitely tops the public courses for its condition and up and down hills with great blind spots and layout. Very glad to have played it and would definitely recommend it to others.
well worth the money
Very nice layout...front 9 very challenging with sloping fairways but the back 9 was more wide open......plays longer than yardage per member I work with
Great course
Very nice well kept course. Not an easy course. Very challenging for the average golfer. Some blind shots. Staff is very nice.
A gem in Niagara County!
Great course layout with excellent conditions. Can't wait to play it again!
A hidden gem in Western New York
Niagara Frontier CC is a beautiful course in excellent condition. One of the nicest courses I've played in western New York. Plenty of hills, sand bunkers, and water to make it challenging but enjoyable. Great Course.
The Country Club Experience
Not every day you get a chance to play a private club....so I'm glad I did. Pro and assistant were on site Sunday Afternoon....very engaging and helpful....carts were premium and immaculate...as was proshop....didn't go into restaurant or anywhere else....range balls were included which was nice.....course itself was very interesting....pretty well layed out.....but built around a natural creekbed/gully/crevasse....so in spots there are lots of side hill lies and obstacles to hit over.....8,9,10,11 all go back and forth across it and the creek.....so pretty darn challenging.....very mature course with tons of trees...fairways were average to slightly tight...and rough was moderately deep....13 to 16 open up into a meadow and are links-like.......conditions were pretty good...we followed a member tourney so the course had gotten a great deal of play that day...but even so...you could tell you were on a premium course....greens were in good condition and pretty true....but the pin placements (maybe due to the tourney) were less than optimal....many back edge and front edge placements.....overall.....it was a very nice experience....but not a course I'd want to play very often....looking forward to Fall as the leaves changing will be beautiful....I am grateful for the opportunity to play there!!!
Great Value for a Private Course
This is one of the most well maintained and friendliest facilities that I have had the pleasure of golfing at. I only live approximately 10 min. from Niagara Frontier but never had a chance to play there until golf now showed up. Our foursome had a excellent outing, the course was in great shape and the club staff was extremely friendly/helpful.
Private Gone Public
This private course recently opened its doors to the public and it's a hidden gem. It's challenging with it's many elevation changes, tight fairways, tree-lined fairways and fast greens.
Buy securing a tee time online, my buddy and I played at 3:25pm for only $35/person (STEAL!)
Even though I didn't score well, the scenery and challenges of the course allowed me to have a great time. I'd go back without hesitation.
The only reason "Hospitality" got 2 stars, is because some guy in the ProShop was trying to be funny, but it came across wrong.
Beautiful and Challenging Course
Course was in great shape. Played our round in about 3 hours and 45 minutes. Will definitely be returning before the end of the summer.
Niagara Frontier condition
Considering the winter we had, the course was very good condition.
Good track
The staff was excellent. The course is in good shape. Very fair test of golf the only negative is that the course is short
Great traditional course
Great old school track! Only reason not 5 stars across board was due to Mother Nature. Course was extremely wet but still playable. Lots of risk reward shots and course management is a must here if you want to score. Great clubhouse with A+ food. Will definitely be back!
Wonderful experience
The course was so much fun to play and was in outstanding condition!
1 of my top 3 favorite courses in western ny
overall awesome experience...greens were a little bumpy from a recent aeration & seeding
A fun challenging golf course!
A played 18 holes at Niagara Frontier and what a fun but challenging golf course. It looks flat from the first tee, but it is really very hilly with a valley that runs through the middle of the golf course. It provides many different shots, uphill, sidehill, downhill and blind shots. It is a very scenic and beautiful golf course. It was early in the season, but the conditions of the course were terrific. The greens were rolling true and fast. This is a hidden gem of a golf course.
Returned today for another round. Course is still in great shape, but the employee in the ProShop charged me $10 to use the range. The range has always been included in tee times in the past, but he asked me if I was a member, or if I booked online, and when I said no, he said, "THEY want us to charge $10 for use of the range".
I feel that if I had booked online, for the same price that I paid in person, I wouldn't have had to pay extra for use of the range.
His actions left a sour taste in my mouth. I'd love to know if other guests have to pay for use of the range.
