Nice Course
Course was in good shape considering it was in the middle of winter. Dining facilities were being remodeled, did not have food services when we played. Had a friendly neighborhood dog escort us for two holes.
The course was in good condition
The fairways were in good condition, but the greens needed
some attention. There was some heavy maintenance at
the time we played, having to do with the cutting of trees.
The staff was super friendly and very helpful.
Fun to play. Every hole different layout.
This is now my favorite course. Every hole has a completely different layout of hills, beautiful views, nicely groomed bunkers, etc. Every cart has a gps and they also provide a course layout booklet. They have sand with fertilizer mixed in on all arts. The fairways are wide and nicely manicured and they have cut down lots of trees and raked up all along the sides of the fairways, thus it is easy to find and play your ball regardless of where you hit. Greens have been recently aerated, but are very playable and in good shape. They also have a platinum membership that enables you to use it at several other Warrior courses in different states. They also have a pool that will be available. Awesome course, just wish it was closer to Florida where I live so I could play it more often.
Dirt track
Very ugly course. There were smoldering burn piles in the trees lining some of the fairways. Most fairways had huge dirt spots with gravel mixed in. Brush was way overgrown around tee boxes. The course was physically hard. It was like playing off concrete covered by a layer of cheap carpet. The greens were eaten up with poana and were similar to trying to putt on granite. Most of the course, fairways included, could be considered ground under repair.
The only positive was the staff, they were very friendly.
Asheboro country club
I was really disappointed with my experience at asheboro country club. I booked a tee time for Saturday morning at 8:20, and everything was fine until we made the turn to go to the back nine. They had scheduled a tournament to go off the back, so when we made the turn there sat a line of people waiting to go off number 10. Asked if we could stay in order to play the course and was told to skip around and find out a way to finish. We payed money like everyone else. A heads up before we started to start on the back would have been nice. Scheduling on a golf course is pretty important and obviously this place doesn't have a clue. Was excited to play the course and had a good front nine going but it all changed after this. I was ready to pack it up and head to the house. The customer service was terrible.
Back nine was the best
Carts are gas,had to wait for a free cart. Front nine needs attention, lots of tree cutting and piles of lumber stacked off of the fairways. Not well marked for yardage. Fairways average, greens average. No restrooms on the course. Clubhouse and restaurant closed at 5pm on a Saturday. Could not find a restroom after the round since all the doors were locked. Could be a very nice course, great views on the back nine.
Course in great shape. In cart GPS. Great value.
The greens were excellent, fast, and true. Fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Great value. Challenging but fair course. Older narrow fairways. Some tree thinning between fairways in progress. If you end up in the woods a lot of logs, limbs and leaves to deal with. Keep it in the fairway and on the greens the only thing to deal with are the slick greens.
Nice Course
We enjoyed the layout and conditions but we caught a bad weather day, we got some light showers then some heavy thunderstorms so it was wet and steamy, nice place though and we will go back, thanks
Asheboro Hot
Was a hot sticky day, but I had a great time. They are clearing trees to add light and air movement on some holes. This is a very challenging course and I like it.
Course has gone DOWNHILL!!!
The normal rate at this course is too high for what you get... The bunkers were HORRIBLE to the point that if we hit in most of them we pulled the ball out! The were washed out, un-raked, hard/rocky, mud, and even trash(it had been there because a significant amount of dirt was covering it). The chipping green looked like flags in a field not a true representation of how chipping on their greens would be. The greens themselves were in great shape... A little slow but receptive and honestly the best thing on the course. The GPS on the cart was a nice feature but I use Golf Logix to track my rounds and stats which was a pain because they've renumbered their holes(need to look at resubmitting course layout to them). All in all for $12 it wasn't too bad but there is NO WAY I would even consider paying more than $15!!! Will I go back? For anything less than $15 yes I will... It's practice and just a step up from a cheap driving range...
Pleasant surprise.
I had played this course years ago when it was owned by a previous group and swore I would not return. My playing group sold me on playing here again after a good review by some friends and I am glad I gave the course another shot. The staff was very cordial, the course was in excellent condition and the greens were some of the best I have played this year. We played on Sunday morning and I only saw about 5 other groups all day. For the money, it is one of the best values in central NC. I will definitely play here again.
Average
Average course overall. Greens in good shape. I give it an average rating due to being a bit overpriced because of the "country club " in the name and lack of food choices besides candy, crackers and chips variety.
The course is in good shape.
The course is in very good shape. There was not a lot of play on the course so you could take your time and not be pushed on every hole. Relaxing and friendly staff.
Great layout. First three holes are a great warm up. The rest of the course plays tight from the tips. Greens rolled great. Last five holes tough.
Had a great time with my whole family. Only one hole was a bit unfair for a junior golfer. Overall a great day was had by all. Great course to challenge even the best ball strikers. Will return. Must play it once to be able to know where to score from.
Several holes were very challenging
Loved the course and will play it again. None of the holes were alike. I loved the holes around the water. They made you think every shot.
fairways really rough
Puttings surface in good shape.
Fairways non existant,,had to play winter rules to find a spot to strike the ball.
Got a great deal and enjoyed round.
Greens were in great shape, fairways were still a little shaggy, but grass has not come in yet. Very playable. Two-some played in around 3 hours. Good variety of holes and challenges.
Great day on the links!
The course looked great and the greens were exceptional. Greatest impression was made by the staff however. Somehow our tee time came in under the radar, as the course had a county-wide high school tourney set to start :20 after our tee time. It would've been easy for them to credit is and ask us to reschedule. They worked with us and we had a very pleasant round. Thanks ACC!
This course is the best around period and for the money.
The Greens were in excellent shape, friendly staff and the fairways actually had grass on them unlike other courses in the area where you are basically hitting off dirt half the time. Very pleased with my round (best I have shot all year) and would recommend this course to anyone.
The course has great greens.
Asheboro Country Club is a delight to play. The staff (Rex) is very friendly and makes you want to come back. The course is in excellent condition. Asheboro Country Club is beautiful. This is my second time playing there. The pro shop is well stocked. The cart's GPS helps navigate the course. A bonus for me was taking photos of the adult and baby horses on a farm off the 3rd tee. A great overall experience!
