Once a Year @ The Vale
Nice warm day 65*, but extremely wet grounds made for CPO.......and with 2-groups per hole, a slow pace-of-play. Everything was soft, greens & tees mushy, but that due to rains & not controlled by course superintendent. I like to play here at least once a year, and greatly recommend the GN Hot Deals. I got teamed with a couple great guys, one of which I knew when he was a boy 25yrs ago. We had a great time reminiscing (all while waiting on the groups ahead). The starter was a gentleman of golf, and the Bar was a fun place to replay the round, which in my case was poor front9 & good back9 (of 38). Again, a nice fun sunny day of mid-October, Thanx for the value rate.
slow play
Course was in great shape, but the slow play was awful . Played over 4 hours and still had 5 holes to go. Had to leave course early. I didn't have time for a 5 and 1/2 hour round!!!
Greens are fast
Nice place to play. Lots of nice views of the course. Open fairways with sand traps and a few water water hazards. Greens are fast. Hole location are a challenge.
Nice shorter course with a bit of flair.
The course is in good shape, greens get faster as it warms up. My only issue was the drainage, the rough was so wet, one would think they had a rain storm 5 minutes before I took the shot. Other than that, I’ll be back again! I did like the how the starter (young lady) was ‘on it’ to maintain good play.
Great new find
Suggested by son to give them a try, even though it’s 45 minutes from my house. But I love the course very nice layout, manicured very well. It was a bit wet due to the rain that we’ve had, but not a problem. Just stay in the fairway for the grass is pretty tall on the outer sides. Start it could’ve been a bit more friendly, but other than that it was a good day.
Park-like course is fun and challenging
I was surprised at how park-like this course is with many elevation changes. The course was in great shape. Fairways were cut, but had nice cushion to hit off of, and greens were lush and rolling true. Course was fun and challenging. Pace was fine, even though every afternoon tee time was taken. Starters could be a bit more friendly and helpful.
Great time... my cousins first time there... he was impressed
I really like the 18th and 1 st hole.. oh and the back par 5!.. the starter is really cool and timed everthing perfectly.. thanks again
