We had booked unaware that a competition was being held on the same afternoon but credit to the staff on keeping things moving. Really enjoyed the front nine but on the back nine there are two very short par 4s that hold play up. Naturally the longer hitters wait until the green is free and this creates hold ups. We played at a competitive rate but now the prices have increased I would rate it lower on value for money.

Arrived to find Florida High School championship practice day in progress. In front of us were several 6 ball groups practicing with their coaches/teachers in tow. Many students were not taking it seriously, 'blasting' balls into trees, laughing, swearing, joking etc. Needless to say it was tedious and slow. I don't think Mission Inn should take bookings when these tournaments are in place as it undermines what is an excellent golfing venue. The course was in excellent shape, staff are superb and the whole facility is so unpretentious for a top golfing venue. I will return but hopefully not on a day which is dedicated to championship golf or practice.

First time playing the course and thoroughly enjoyed. Some tough holes, particularly on the south course. Finished in just over 4 hours as a foursome so all was good.

Booked for 3pm but starter kindly put us off 20 mins early. Reading previous reviews I didn't expect to finish the full 18. We managed 17 before the light beat us making it great value. Tee boxes excellent. Greens rolled very true and consistent. I've seen better conditioned fairways on other comparable courses in the area. Overall good experience.

This is a first class golf venue. Even though the courses were very busy the staff were professional and efficient. Course excellent.

The course is an interesting layout and the rates are very reasonable. However I won't be back until I see evidence from reviews that the pace of play has improved. We started on time but were held up on every hole sometimes with several groups on one hole. Took 3 hours and 45 mins for 12 holes!! It takes away a large amount of what could have been an enjoyable round.

We enjoyed the round but that said we wouldn't play again. Although I'm not a long hitter with my drives (about 210 yds) I needed to play off the very back tees to avoid running into trouble on all par 4s. That shouldn't have been a problem except I feel the course has been designed to suit those playing off the forward tees as the landing areas are very narrow. The par 3 holes are nice and the par 5s fair but almost all par 4 holes are weak. The staff are very friendly and the carts are good. No beverage cart. Tee boxes good, fairways okay. Greens rolled well.

First time to this course and will return. Tee boxes and greens excellent. Fairways patchy in places but didn't affect game. Very good pace of play...2 of us in 3.5 hours. Signs of lots of work improving bunkers etc. I hope that they keep prices at current levels at it encourages players to travel to take advantage of good value golf.

The course is in great shape.

If you are looking for an enjoyable but not too demanding course then put this on your list. From the time we parked up until we left we experienced a friendly, well cared for golf club. Although it's located just off road 27 you are not aware of that as you play. So many of the courses that I've played in Florida involve bag drop personnel, starter and clubs cleaned when you finish. Some even offer to valet park your car! If you expect that type of 'service' then this course might not be for you. It is an unpretentious golf club that outstrips many of its grander neighbors. A definite play again!

This is a challenging course but a very nice layout. It played long for me as although I'm 11 handicap drives were plugging in the fairway meaning long second shots at the par 4 holes. This may be down to the overseeding in recent weeks. It also plays long for ladies from their tee boxes. Overall a very nice golf facility.

I did get this tee time as a good deal and the conditions were perfect. Overall the course is in decent condition but if i'd paid the published rates then I would have been disappointed. The tee boxes and some fairways are showing signs of excessive golf without the necessary maintenance. Also, despite virtually no rain for 2 weeks, there were wet areas on some holes.

First time at this course having decided to go there after the positive reviews. We were not disappointed. All staff very courteous. New carts. Greens very nice and rolling true. Some of the tee boxes are rough, also approaches to some greens. Back nine is a tough challenge but enjoyable.

Conditions were quite breezy and that made some shots difficult to judge. I play off 11 handicap but found the yardages difficult off blue tees. However the course is in excellent shape and a pleasure to play.

It's difficult to find fault with this course. Nice mix of hole difficulty, very good conditions. I played the National course the week before and the International course greens are better. Clearly it depends on what rate you pay but I rate this course very good value for money.

This is a great value for money course. The fairways roll out much more than some and the lies are very good. Greens putted well. Staff are welcoming and overall a fun place to play.

When I arrived at the course I found out it was a practice day for a competition being held on the following 2 days. There were no carts due to parents and coaches being out on the course with the young people practising for the competition. Eventually teed off 40 minutes late so only managed 9 holes. I felt sorry for the starter who clearly had no say or control over bookings. The greens were covered with pitch marks which can only have been from those young people practising; I suggest the coaches give some firm lessons in how to take care of the golf course as a guest. I think the course superintendent would have been appalled. The saving grace of this round of golf was being teamed up with a lovely couple from Illinois who make the 9 holes worthwhile. Message to Mystic Dunes is don't take bookings that you can't fulfill to customer expectations.

This is one of the best courses and facilities in Northumberland. When you take into account the competitive green fees it makes for a very good golfing experience.

We enjoyed our round as it is many years since we played this course. The layout is excellent and a fair test with some very interesting holes. Although early in the season I was still disappointed in the course conditions. Tee boxes were okay although had to tee off mats on 2 of the par 3's. Fairways were reasonable but some of the par 4s had many divots. Most disappointing were the greens that were quite patchy and some had black moss in them. A great location and layout but I hope the conditions improve.

We had played the white/blue 3 times during our vacation and been impressed. The red did not disappoint either, being in excellent condition. This is an efficient, friendly golf facility which is maintained to a high standard. The staff should be commended on the way the courses are presented and the excellent value for money is also appreciated.
