The course is crying for an owner who gives a crap. Good layout, could be interesting, but unfortunately, nothing on the course would indicate anybody cares at all. I am an avid fan of golf and it’s always disappointing to see a potential wonderful layout in a state of “nobody gives a hoot” let’s just take the money and run. Along the same vein, clubhouse could be cool but currently… not. I paid around $38 for the round, I can do better somewhere else. And… I will.

I heard a rumor about the course and decided to check it out on a whim. The good; First impression was amazing as we pulled into the parking lot at the top of the hill and walked to the adjacent driving range with a view that ran for miles. We entered the clubhouse (modest and nothing fancy) and traded jokes with the friendly pro shop gentleman. The first hole was downhill and a perfect beginning for the rollercoaster ride ahead. The course winds up, down and all around with no homes in sight. It reminded us of the northern wilderness courses in Michigan. Every hole was different, entertaining and difficult for anybody above a 5 handicap. If you don't drive it straight, you can get in all kinds of trouble on this course. Negative side; greens were consistently in poor shape, multiple areas are in need of repair (pathways, asphalt, rough, fairway and green areas). Keep in mind, it is still early in the season and I'm sure as the season blooms, so will parts of the course. For good or bad, if you decide to walk, know it will be a helluva workout that day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the course and felt we found a hidden gem in the middle of suburbia. We will be golfing there again. There is no doubt about that. Hope this review helps.

I paid $75 which included golf, cart and club rental. The clubs were newer model Titleists and in good shape. The course was very interesting to play with holes of varying lengths and difficulty. Several holes challenged you with risk vs. reward decisions which was great. Adding to the interest was a giant lizard next to one of the greens eyeing me for lunch which I firmly believe affected my missed birdie putt. On another hole there was a live crocodile exhibit. Club selection was difficult due to the wind. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and well worth the money.
