Allenmore Golf Course
Played On 06/17/2018Slow but still fun
Took the old man out for a round on Father's Day so needless to say, it was a very slow round. Took about 5-1/2 hours to get through but it was a beautiful day out so it just gave us more time to drink a few beers and chat. Got a deal on Groupon so we ended up paying about $40/ea with cart. The course was in great shape but we all had trouble with the greens for the first few holes (a bit fast and bumpy in areas).
The clubhouse staff were friendly and the bartender made us a couple great bloody mary's so we were happy with off course amenities. The cart girl was great but she was busy so we only saw her twice.
Foster Golf Links
Played On 06/10/2018Windy day but a very quick round
Seemed like the weatherman scared off most golfers but we found a sunny (yet windy) break and played between 3 and 5pm without one rain drop. Fun and quick round that only cost us $16 a piece on GolfNow. This course is pretty easy but nice to get out and play every so often. The off course amenities (Billy Baroo's) is definitely one of the nicer establishments in the area and well worth the stop in. Drink prices can be spendy but the food is good!
Riverbend Golf Complex
Played On 01/07/2018Great deal but no off-course amenities
Great value for 18 with a cart at Riverbend on an open (but cold and wet) Sunday. Only a few other groups playing so great pace of play. Sounds like they recently closed the restaurant/bar however so that was a major downside as we were hoping to get some beers and food at the turn. Then again, maybe that helped my round!
Allenmore Golf Course
Played On 11/19/2017Fastest round ever
Found a great deal on GolfNow for $21/person, 18 holes with cart included so I took my dad out to play. There were very few people out on the course since it was supposed to storm all day. We ended up battling some cold, wind and rain but overall, it was a surprisingly nice day and we finished in under 3.5 hours. It was great to get out there and play a nice course without any hold ups or having to rush, especially for the killer deal we got.
Only issue is the restaurant had been closed permanently so no food or alcohol. There was a gentleman working the pro shop but he wasn't very friendly or accommodating, as it looked like he was more interested in watching the TV and BS-ing with the guys who had recently finished their round.
At any rate, I'll be back. Just hoping they get someone to buy the restaurant so they can get everything back in business again.

This is a fun course for the value. The greens were a bit difficult (a mix of different grasses) but overall, this course plays great for both beginners and advanced players. The clubhouse and restaurant are newly renovated and have great amenities for those not golfing.
Quail Valley Golf Course
Played On 07/01/2017Open course for a great price
Played this course with a friend while visiting family in Forest Grove. It was a hot day but the round was very enjoyable. Fairly open but stick to the fairways, as some holes have pretty thick brush surrounding. Not a ton of bunkers but still played like a moderate course in terms of difficulty. We rode and the carts were in good shape. The guys working in the pro shop were helpful but the lady working alone in the deli area was quickly overwhelmed around noon at the turn. I'd suggest getting your beers and sandwiches ahead of time, as it sounded like it took most people about 30 minutes for a beer and a cold sandwich closer to lunch time. Overall, got a great deal on GolfNow and would golf here again.
Foster Golf Links
Played On 06/18/2017Feel good course for a great price
I took my dad here for Father's Day where we played 18 with a cart. I've played Foster many times and it's always been what I would consider a "feel good" course based on difficulty. There are many par 4 holes that are drive-able for better golfers. I play from the men's tees at this course to get a bit more practice on my longer drives. As for amenities, the bar cart gal Shelley is always a pleasure and makes sure our drinks are flowing. Bill Baroo's restaurant and bar in the clubhouse is also a fun spot to get a drink and dinner after your round. Overall, I enjoy the bargain and laid back feel of this course but don't plan on finishing in record time, as this is a slow-moving course most days with a lot of beginner and "social" golfers hitting the links.
