Took friends for a game at Highlands Reserve as it was near to where we were staying. We received a good welcome at bag drop and the pro shop which is always nice. We enjoyed our game in glorious hot sunshine but we all thought the tees were a bit scruffy and in need of a cut. Greens were in reasonable condition though were a fair bit slower than they looked. Overall a good course to play as a start to a golf break as not too tough but better courses can be found in the area.

We arrived early for our tee time and were greeted by the very friendly and helpful Larry who provided our cart and instructions on how best to play the course. Course was not busy so we were allowed to head off when ready. Course has lots of elevation changes which is a bit different to the standard Orlando links. Especially enjoyed the front nine as some of the views were spectacular. Holes 10 and 15 were a bit strange - took some time to see where the green was on 10 in spite of playing from the middle of the fairway and the line off 15th tee was not obvious. Greens were a bit slower than some though they were running true.

Played here a couple of years ago and am happy to say I am glad we went back for a return visit today. You can see the work that has been done to improve fairways and greens which will continue to improve as time goes by. Very slopey greens make for some tough to read putts especially downhill. A couple of lovely par 3's over water are the best holes on the course.
Would recommend a visit especially using a Hot Deal

This was my first experience of playing a Disney course and I was not disappointed. From the welcome at bag drop to the final putt the enjoyment was continuous. None of the holes were outstanding visually but every hole was in great shape with greens running true and very fast. Things were a bit over-priced in the pro shop and the chip & slice grill but this does not detract from a great course.

This was a return to an old favourite as we love to play Celebration when in the Orlando area. Course is always in good shape and in spite of over-seeding this was still the case. The piped music on the range is a bit quirky but this just adds to the appeal. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Found some good deals in the pro shop too which was a bonus.
Will return again next year when back in Orlando!!

Had previously played and enjoyed the Oaks course so was looking forward to challenging the Cypress. Course is nicely laid out and fairways in decent condition in spite of the recent hurricane. Parts of the course had been flooded but this did not impact on the game as there was little sign of damage, The greens however were not in such a good shape and had signs of wear and tear as well as some patches of different grass and bare patches too. Enjoyed the game and may return but Cypress will not be top of the list

This is a great layout. Course has been used as a U.S Open Qualifier and you can see why. Tee shots need to be pretty straight as anything beyond first cut is in trouble. Despite the recent hurricane there was very little sign of any damage with fairways and greens in excellent shape. Service could not be faulted from the bag drop to the starter all the way to the dining room. Should be on all bucket lists and I will be back

This is an excellent course - great layout with some memorable holes but very tough. The course was in excellent shape considering hurricane Irma had recently passed through. Fairways and greens in great shape though off the fairway was challenging with fallen tree limbs etc after the hurricane. Par 3's excellent with good shots needed over water. Elevation changes make this a bit different to most 'Orlando area' courses.
Will certainly look to visit again!!

Had a wonderful day following in the footsteps of some of the greats like Lee Trevino & Arnold Palmer who played this course when it was used on Tour. Unlike the Orlando resort courses Rio Pinar is tree lined which means accuracy is key. Greens were excellent too as was pace of play. Watch out for the fox squirrels who will appear from the woods to check-out your cart for some food!!

Heard this was a Johnny Miller design so was looking forward to playing. Was not disappointed as the layout was great. Greens were pretty true considering the drought. Would recommend and will be happy to return for a game in the future
