Our first impression was Randall in the pro shop who I’m not sure how he could of cared less. There was a 2nd guy there who never got up, tried to hide behind the desk. 2 1/2 hrs for the front nine, tried to get a drink at turn. Bar sent us to desk to pay, guy there said to go back. Left the drink and went to #10. Back nine 3 hrs, teed off at 11:30 and got in just before dark. Service is terrible, course is average, greens are in good shape. If you have time to spare and don’t mind a long round it’s just ok..

We were the 3rd tee time out. Played the front in about 90 minutes. On the back nine we waited for 5-15 minutes for every bunker to be raked. Not once in 9 holes did the maintenance try and let us get through. Attitude of the director of golf was so tough so sad… We’re told to hit at them, if they move great. Glad I don’t work at this course if your hoping they get hit with a golf ball, but won’t train them on proper course etiquette

Course was in awful condition. Almost unplayable due to recent rain. No warning of cart path only until arrived. Quit after 4 1/2 hours to 15 holes.

Have played here several times. Get a morning tee time if you can as the pace is reasonable in the morning. In the afternoons the back nine can get congested as it’s a lot of target golf.
Greens are fantastic, course is in great shape except for the tee boxes which I’m told are going to be fixed when they do their next maintenance closure.
Staff very friendly

If I could give them a zero I would.. We had a 7:10am Tee Time. There was a fog delay (not their fault of course). My wife and I sat around for 90 minutes waiting for the fog to clear, my wife got up to go to the bathroom after sitting around in the cart ready to go at a moments notice. They then without any warning called our tee time, because we basically were not teed up on the first hole decided we were not ready to go and kept calling tee times ahead of us. Literally it was 2 minutes both of us were not there and they treated us like we had missed our tee time. When we arrived for our tee time (30 minutes in advance) the Pro Shop was dark like they were hiding hoping no one would come in. Ended up not being able to golf because they had already called 5 tee times ahead of us (while we were sitting there ready to go about 2 seconds after they decided we were out of line), because we had no idea if and when we would be going we got a refund and left. Ended up not being able to golf that day because of this. This golf course has been up and down through the years (course conditions also have been way up and down), we always have gone back because the staff generally has been great. What happened today isn't excusable and we wont be back, complete waste of our time to drive 30 minutes to go play and then because someone got up for 2 minutes after sitting around in line for 90 minutes waiting we get shuffled to the back of the line like we had "missed" our tee time.

When the course marshall said "Nice day and you will need lots of time out there to enjoy it" he wasn't kidding. We were 5 hours through 15 holes and gave up. In terms of the Course it is in very good shape, the greens are very receptive but also roll very true/fast. The Fairways are in above average condition and everything is very lush. My only complaint out here and it always has been is the pace of play, today we were unlucky and got stuck behind a tournament but generally the other 5 or 6 times I have played it isn't fast. Other then that if you are looking for a course that has some challenge for low handicaps and some easy holes for the learners its a good place for everyone.

Worth the drive! Lush Conditions, great greens. They are working on some reclamation projects but it is being done very professionally. Course conditions were fantastic, very green, defined cuts and greens that rolled perfect. Would come back again, first 5 star rating for me..

Course plays fairly tough, lots of narrow shots, lots of elevation changes on the back nine. We got stuck behind a scramble tournament with no warning from the pro-shop, took 5:15 to do 18, from a 1:40 tee time we barely made dark. Course was in decent shape, some brown spots (but most places do with the drought), greens were good and rolled true. Pro Shop staff tried to make it up to us and issued a credit because of the delay, just would have been nice to know before we booked.

This course played a little easier/shorter then its sister desert course. Water does come into play on several holes and that does increase the difficulty. Moderately Long and Accurate players will find at least a couple drive-able Par 4's, and depending on the Wind all the Par 5's are probably go for in 2. The Conditions were decent for the time of year, there of course are lots of dormant areas around bunkers where they didn't overseed, but generally everything was very playable.

Buffalo Hill meanders through a set of terrain that is pretty unique. What you see from the Highway is just the beginning. Many narrow fairways, lots of major elevation change makes for a challenging day. Bring lots of balls, lots of places to get in trouble.

I was a member here several years ago, but after fighting tournaments every weekend to try and play golf I gave up and moved on. Recently since it has been on Golf Now I have played here now for the 3rd time this year. Twice it has been very frustrating. There are NO course marshalls and the result of that is NO pace of play.. Expect to be 5 hours plus on the weekend even if the course is not busy.. The issue here is its always the same thing, they send people out on the back 9 in between the 18 hole players and all of a sudden there is NO one on the front nine and 3 groups on each tee box on the back. Pro Shop staff really could care less, Dont play here unless you have lots of time....

Course staff was very friendly. Always ready to help (very hungry for tips, but this is normal for anywhere and anything in Mexico).
Course fairways were burned out, mowed down to dust and the 17th Hole was not in play. Greens looked like they had been recently punched, but they were still decent.

Lots of nature on this golf course.. Crocodiles, Iguanas, Lizards, Snakes, Birds of all shapes and sizes..

Overall was pretty pricey to play, but it is the only course on Isla Cozumel and you pay for that. Just was expecting more for a Jack Nicklaus designed course.
