Foxfire Resort & Golf Club - Grey Fox Course

Fairways were good, greens excellent, traps suck with lots of pebbles in them. Staff ok but not the best. Good place to play in Sandhills if you want to avoid the high prices in pinehurst .

Greens where running nice and where also firm. Very pretty course

Overall the course was in great shape with exception of the traps. They had not been raked or fluffed and contained quite a few rocks. If this was corrected it would be a first class course. There is a variety of hills and doglegs that make this scenic course quite challenging. The fairways, tee boxes and greens were all in very good condition. I look forward to playing the course again when I'm in town. Take time to play this course. You won't be disappointed.

Foxfire is a fun place to play. I enjoyed it and will play there again.

The course was fun for the winter conditions. The course was over seeded with winter rye grass which made the round better. Water hazards are strategically placed to make you play smart. The course had some good par 5's that we're not easy. The one disappointment were the sand traps that included a lot of roc hand poor dirt. Take a friend enjoy the day and you can appreciate the course.

I know courses have to do this, but I purposefully avoid them when they are recovering from the process. Here there was no notice until we check in, and I did not appreciate that.

This challenging course is always in great condition and offers scenic view specially at this time of the year.

An interesting and challenging course, with a surprising amount of elevation change. Every hole is different.

The course is in great shape. A little extra challenge today because of over seeding fairways, and a stiff wind, but the end result will be worth it. We always look forward to playing here.

Course was in super shape. Not a bad lie anywhere. Greens, even though appeared slow, were anything but. Nice and smooth with good pace. This fall weather is suiting Foxfire conditioning to a tee.

My friends were in town, we played the Red Course and they loved it. I can't think of a negative to report and would encourage anyone to play this course.

Weather was good and the course is in great shape. Well maintanined and beautiful. Even thought there are homes along the course you feel like you are in the forest and alone with just your group. The greens were fast and true. It plays a bit long for a lady in her fifties-that's the only bad about this course.

I play this course frequently as it is convenient to my home. A fun course that will give the 10 handicap player several opportunities for birdies.

Playing around 6300 yards from the white tees, this course will test you. Water comes into play on several holes. There are also elevation changes and doglegs to test your club selection and distance control. Overall a fun course to play in the Sandhills.

Course conditions were average at best, without the discount I would not recommend it. Many other options in the area with better course conditions.

This is a very nice course. Played with a buddy of mine, and we both enjoyed it. We had a storm roll in on the 5th hole. The nice thing was it had shelter on that hole. Waited an half hour for the storm to blow through. Course drain nicely after it. The par three's were a challenge. nothing under 160. Fairways were very nice and so was the staff. Looking forward to playing the Red course next.

Course was in good condition. I would highly recommended this course to a friend.

Great deal at $25! Greens were just aerated so they were little bumpy/slow, but probably why it was $10 less than Red Fox Course. Fun course though, and will play again!

Booked a tee time through Golfnow at a significantly reduced rate due to recent aeriation of the greens. So we knew the greens would be rough/recovering. The course was otherwise in pretty good condition and very playable. Some of the bunkers had very hard sand which was a disappointment, both to be in them and to feel like you were really penalized because you couldn't hit what you would expect to be a standard bunker shot. Really liked the course though.

Always enjoy myself at Foxfire. Fairways were nice, greens were good coming off aeration. Pace of play not an issue. Will go back again.
