Hurts
Hurts me to say that the course is in really bad condition. Ants have taken over the fairways and the greens have been infected by sort of mold and are like putting on a concrete sidewalk. It hurts to be this candid, but the course is in really bad shape.
Need greens
There is a reason it is only $10. This course needs a lot of help, they have no greens and had lost its character.
It’s ok
If you want to just get a quick round in it’s easily adequate. It’s only a nine hole course. But if you want to just get loosened up it’s perfectly fine.
Ok for 9
Ok for a quick 9 hole practice round
need to vary the tee shots if more than 9 & the greens need some work
Big improvement
This course has gotten extremely better over the past year. The greens are improving every time we play there. I believes its a nice course for the money.
Good Day
The course was in great shape. Good course to work on your game.
Don't Expect Much
This small 9-hole course has quite a bit of history with the late Arnold Palmer and his days as an employee and a student at nearby Wake Forest College. That being said, the course isn't in very good shape. The fairways and rough are ok, but the greens are awful. Slow, bumpy, and tiny. To be honest, it's barely better than playing on temporary greens. The layout is straight forward and pretty easy. As it was described to me in the pro shop from the exceptionally nice guy in there, it's a practice course. Don't expect much more than that.
Good for practice
Great for beginners or someone wanting to hit shots into a green or fairway instead of just hitting ball on a range. I would recommend for beginners or practice.
Could Use some upgrade
My party played the front 9. The gold carts need repair, the fairways seem to be under some type of repair or treatment as most were brown in color. Overall the couse was not that bad for a beginner like me - little or no hazards or sand traps so only lost 1 ball. I think this is a good type of course to get comfortable with your clubs before you go to a more upscale couse.
For last minute
For last minute desire to play its fine. AdequTe I suppose would be an apt assessment...greens are not in good shape...
Better every time
I have played this course several times over the last 2 years. This past year the course has improved every time I've played. The greens are now the best in the area. They are fast and true. The fairways are in good shape and being well kept. It may not be the most challenging course but it is a quick fun round.
