Great Day for Golf
Haven't played here in a while, they sure have made a lot of progress. The course was in very good shape, compared to a year ago. I will playing it more in the future. I would definitely recommend this for a nice day on the course.
This course has very good features.
/this course has very good features an excellent value for the money.
Perfect course for beginners
I love this small course. Very friendly staff. Excellent course conditions. Perfect for beginners like me.
Good Practice Course
Course is basically a cow pasture with rough greens. However if you need to put in 9 holes of practice it's convenient and the pace of play is good during work days.
Good for Beginners, Those on a Budget
Been playing here for almost one year. As another reviewer wrote, they are starting to take better care of it. No defined golf paths. No yardage markers other than at the tees. However, the staff is friendly and it can be challenging for beginners.
Decent little course
This course used to be a joke definitely. Don't go expecting a crazy clubhouse I've played here off and on for probably 10 years it's in the best shape of that time. They are starting to take care of it. It's not perfect or amazing but it's coming around. Greens are in the best shape I've ever seen them. Just a good little place to go maybe if you've been spending too much money on other courses. I do think it should be about 15 dollars for 18 holes but still a decent little course. Not challenging as well but sometimes that's nice.
Short course
Enjoy the hilly fairways, holes are fun, didn't mind the condition.
Much Improved
Course is in a lot better shape than 4 weeks ago. They have hired a new superintendent whom I was told is working 6 days a week. Fairways and tee boxes were cut much shorter. Greens are improving but still a work in progress. An easy course to walk and play from the tips.
Train Wreck
First off, I paid for 18 on GN and he told me that it was a mistake and that was only for 9. Beyond that, this place should be $5 for 9. The course is in horrifying shape. It's like a public baseball field with greens in it.
Worst Greens in History!
Save your money!
This place is so bad they shouldn't even be allowed to sell teetimes.
Okay... that may be a little too harsh. Let me say it this way...
The course should warn you when you get there that more than half the holes have unusable greens. I don't me a bad spot here or there. I mean greens with 5, 10 15 dead spots that look like minigolf sand traps.
Used to come here last fall and it was bad. Bought the rounds because I figured it's spring. It's gotta be better.
Well... much much worse. At least we had greens last season.
Last year we found this place on Golfnow because they had $4 9 hole rounds. Today with how bad it is, I'd recommend not paying a penny more than $4.
too easy and horrible conditions
The course was in horrible conditions. The course could use a lawn mower. It was also one of the easiest golf courses I have ever played. I hit driver 5-iron to reach the first par 5. I have played over 180 courses and this was a top 10 worst course. The only good thing about the place was that I played in under 3 hours.
Course needs work
I've played this course many times over thr years but this time the course was in the worst shape. Greens are rough and slow. Fairways are not in very good shape etc. They need to start spending some time on upkeep.
Good Value
family friendly course. I enjoy going to Pascal to get out and swing the club. I have seen improvement of this course over the last year and a half as well. Guys are doing a good job.
Garbage
Better off going to a driving range. Also they said they are trying to cut out golfnow.com...their rate after that..$25-$30!!! The rate golfnow offers for them is even a stretch.
Course needs work
They need to work on their fairways - The greens are Bermuda and could be better
Don't sell this course short
OK, the fairways were not in good condition, but the greens were good. They were reasonably fast and putted very true. The staff was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. Don't sell this course short. It was a fun experience.
Value course for beginners!
Considering I was able to play 9 holes for $6, I am pleased! Sure there were some spots that could use improvements, for instance, there aren't any yardage markers that I could tell, and some more food and refreshments would be nice. It is a 9 hole course, but surprisingly has 6 par 4 holes and even a par 5! If you are looking to go hit around, and want to take your kids out to learn the game, I definitely recommend this course.
Good Old School course for families
I played 9 holes today with my 12 year old daughter. It was my first time playing Paschal. It is an old school course, as in open since 1917 with only 4 bunkers. As old school as it comes. While it is relatively short, it does have some interesting and fun holes. It is a great place to have fun playing with your kids. You're not going to Paschal to work on your score, so don't complain about the small greens where the grass is a little longer and the grain a little bumpier than more high dollar courses. It has an enjoyable layout that you can share with friends and family without paying over $300 for a foursome. This would be a great course for new players to learn and develop their game.
