Upper Lansdowne Golf Links
About
Upper Lansdowne Golf Course originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1961, designed by local course architect Jack Kidwell. More than 30 years later, Kidwell revisited the course with Michael Hurzdan and added another nine holes. It was one of his last projects before retirement. Despite being designed at different times, Upper Lansdowne's nines seamlessly blend modern and traditional features to create a diverse course that appeals to a range of skill levels and abilities. The layout features narrow fairways lined with mature trees that are balanced with large, easy-to-read greens. Water hazards come into play on half of the holes. The golf course's signature hole is the par-3 15th, which plays downhill to a peninsula green, offering little room for forgiveness. If you don't hit the green on this hole, you'll most likely be in the water.

Sprinklers
Course was not in as good of condition as usual...sprinklers were going on several fairways making it difficult to play some holes. Play on this day was exceptionally slow. Still, I like this course a lot and will continue to play there.
Course is in great shape
I have played this course for many years. It always seems to get me. I love playing this course over and over. This was my first time this year at Upper Landsdowne. Some areas received 2" - 3" that day. We played half of the round in a drizzle. The course received the rain well. This couse is a solid 8 out of 10 on condition. If you never have played this course, you will have to play hole 4 & 6 very conservitively.
Nice track...slow play
Well maintained, good challenge of all skills needed, and very nice layout though a little tricky to navigate hole to hole in a couple spots. Only complaint was a pile up of tee times had us start on back 9 a little late which was not bad...until we came around to play front and another pile up.
One of the most beautiful courses in southern Ohio
My wife and I and another couple played this course and loved it. A true hidden gem. If we lived closer to the course, this would be the one we would play all of the time. Open fairways, greens in excellent condition and the layout is nice.

Salmon
For $10 for 18 with a cart you cannot expect much but it truthfully was not bad at all. Ive seen much much worse. The greens and fairways were were taken care of enough that as long as you weren't all of the place you had good lies and the putts played true.
Terrible experience!
We had a 9:58 tee time and was put on #1 behind a senior league and a senior traveling group of 12. The 10th tee was wide open. We got off at 10:45, and it took until 1 pm to get the first 9 in. We asked for a voucher for the second 9 because we didn't have time to stay another 3 hours to finish 18. The lady said, we only give rain checks if it's raining. So we paid for 18, played 9 in what it takes us to play 18, and was treated badly. We will never play this course again.
Best Kept Secret!!!
Family owned course for a great price! First time playing, I broke 80 for the first time in my life! Not a pushover course though, interesting layout that requires very thoughtful strategy and a good short game. Favorite holes are 3 & 4. 3 is a 295 yard par four bunkers guarding the front of the green. Bombers beware going over the green is WET. This is followed by a man sized 440 yard par playing uphill. Very fun course and great staff!
