Needs a little work
Considering how much rain we’ve had in the past month the course was extremely hard from tee to green. Thin grass on tee’s and fairway with hardpan leaving for tough shots. The greens were hard as well, but rolled pretty true you just have to look at the greens that have been sprayed with hydoseed so they all had a nice shade of green. Still not a bad course to play just needs a little TLC.
Greens in sad shape
Some type of foreign grass growing on all the greens that prevents your ball from traveling straight
Not bad for what I paid
Course is a little rough this time of year. I’ve always heard this was a lush course but that wasn’t my experience. The greens were patchy, rough was without any grass in several places and the fairways hard as a rock.
Overpriced/Pace of Play Slow
Management has to do something about the price at that course. Most of the time your hitting off dirt in the fairways, the greens are terrible, then the pace of play… I guess if you just don’t want to do anything else with your day it’s fine, but space it out. There shouldn’t ever be a reason why 4 teams are waiting to tee off on hole 1. I could go on and on but I can guarantee you I won’t be back anytime soon.
Grounds crew must have quit
The greens had poa annua all over them. The greens are the new Bermuda hybrid so they cover them at night. But for some reason they can’t take a blower and remove the sticks or the goose crap that’s all over the greens. Pace of play was just under 5 hrs. Not to completely beat the green keeper up the fairway are in better shape than last time we played. The dallis grass was gone out of the fairways. Sorry I didn’t think about getting pictures. But not worth the greens fee. Hopefully the 2 million dollars the city course are getting this year can help them get a new greens keeper.
Great Winter Course
Played it in January and a great course for this time of year. Can’t complain when your courses back home are covered in snow.
Good course but..
Started off at 11:40, get to the tee box at 11:38 and a group of 2 guys waited until we got there to start playing even though their tee time was 11:30, and then proceeded to play multiple balls each hole and took as long as a group of six might. They were very hostile and wouldn’t let us play through or skip past them without verbal threats. We then tried to get ahead of them after the front 9 and they skipped 3 holes just to get back in front of us.
The course was good, I’ve played their multiple times but this time around the guys ahead of us were just terrible.
Great day after the PGA
Lucked out and got a Saturday twilight round after 2pm. Best $25 I’ve spent in a long time, especially after paying the same price for one beer at the PGA! Greens rolled true, fairways for the most part were solid and the layout was challenging but fair. Next time I’m in town, I’ll be back!
Horrible wait
Had a tee time at 1:10pm. Rolled up to the 1st tee at 1:05pm and the 12:30 group was just teeing off with 3 other groups we still had to wait on.
Nice course and staff.
The course was well kept and the staff was nice. I was disappointed with the bathrooms being locked as well as the other golf groups playing slow or changing courses at will.
