The greens have not been well prepared... Other central oregon courses started grooming way earlier in the year... The ball doesn't roll toward the cup, it hops .. So, so bad...

Just Don't!
You work hard for your money. Please don't waste it on a course that has stopped it's own course maintenance. In my 55 years of golf, these were by far the worst greens I've ever putted. Yes, there was some late winter kill in the Bend area, but other courses' greens survived. The arrogance of charging $109 without any notice to the fee-paying public is astonishing. Forget a friend, I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy.

sub standard course conditions for premium rates
Have played here before and always liked the course. This year the winter weather was not good to the course. Greens were unplayable on 12 or14 of the holes. Hole 10 and 18 had patches stretching out 20 yards from the green that looked like a cabbage patch mowed down to fairway height. All of this would of been acceptable if we had been notified prior. Instead the guy at the counter looked me square in the eye and told me $109. Then added there would be a $3 fee for using a credit card. Never a word regarding the shape of the course. Charging premium pricing for a sub standard course is not acceptable. On of our players went into the pro shop at the turn and complained about the conditions of the greens and was told "that the first I've heard about that". Judging by the other reviews this year, they have heard about that quite a bit. However, anyone that would charge what they did for what we got is not a honest person. Ha d they told us of the poor conditions and offered a reduced greens fee that would of been acceptable. Save your money

Greens were terrible. OK, bad winter. But to charge premium prices for terrible conditions is unacceptable. Let players know your course is in very bad shape and offer reduced greens fees. Counter staff was rude and arrogant. Thought they were at Pumpkin Ridge. They are not..

Horrendous greens
The greens were in horrendous shape. Probably due to rough winter in central OR.
Players should be told ahead of time & green fees reduced until greens in better shape. Rest of course in good shape.

Greens in terrible shape.
I understand rough winters or greens fungus, but you need to notify golfers—especially when you’re charging full rates. For that reason, I’ll not be back to golf this course this season. Widgi, Meadow Lakes, and even River’s Edge are in much better condition for similar rates.

Worst shape I’ve ever seen it in
My men’s gang plays there every year for the last several. This had the worst greens I’ve ever seen. We paid $89 with a cart for the afternoon price drop at 2pm and it no where near the value I’d expect for that price. Our guys are now talking about playing elsewhere next year. IMO they should have at least told us they were having issues and offered a discount rate. I’ve played plugged and sanded greens that were better. It’s too bad too because we’ve always loved this course.

wow. what a dog.
They want $109 to play here. Greens are shaggy, bare dirt patches, slow and unkempt. Poorly maintained fairways and greens. When questioned after the round about the incongruity between the green fees charged and the course conditions, pro shop staff is unconcerned anunapologetic.Used to be a 5 star track. No more. SAD!!!@

Rough greens
The weather this past winter has been really hard on the central Oregon golf courses! Lost Tracks is no exception. Beautiful course, views etc but the greens are in really tough shape:(. I’m sure it will be better in a few weeks with this run of warmer weather

Bad Greens
First and last time I will ever play there. They should fire the greens keeper and hire a course marshal.
These were the worst greens I have ever paid good money to play. See the picture below. This is typical for 12 of the 18 greens.
Played other courses with in 5 miles that had good greens.
The pace of play was 5 hours and 15 minutes.
$82 for this is terrible. They should let patrons know the conditions for $82

The course has Lost it’s way.
They were an hour behind schedule. I asked to hop on the back because I was alone, and they said no. I ended up just leaving because there were 20 people ahead of me and I was already an hour late off the tee. They had no carts for anyone, the owner continued lying to people when they were paying. They never once said they were behind to anyone and the only reason I found out was from a cart boy.
I heard they were selling and it really shows with how little they care about their patrons. They’ve lost my business forever. I’ve been going there for almost 10 years and was a member in previous years. It is not the same place at all.

Good value and scenery
Pretty nice spot and decent layout, but the greens are abysmal (at least as of May 2023). Unfortunate, otherwise a pretty nice day out!

Course conditions
These had to be the worst greens I have played in Central Oregon. The staff didn’t even bother to let us know, they just wanted our money. Our annual group won’t be back.

Lost several strokes on the greens
Hard winter and lots of snow. Course will take awhile to get back to normal.
Great layout, poor greens
The green complexes were in horrible shape. Lots of dead patchy/bumpy spots on the greens from snow/ice damage. They probably were not covered over the winter. Some greens were punched but not sanded. Putting was a nightmare.
Golf is getting expensive and it's expected to not know how the greens are before you pay and play them. It's disappointing to see places charging $60+ for greens like this...

Fungus among us
Most of the greens were heavily damaged by what looks like to me a fungus infection. The rest of the course was in ok shape. Interesting course, with a dog leg on most holes.

DON’T GO ON THE WEEKEND
We were sent out on 10. Played the first 9 holes in 2 hours, so very good. When we made the turn to go to #1, there was a group in the fairway, a foursome on the tee, a threesome waiting, the threesome ahead of us decided to quit, and then our twosome. I think they started sending out groups on 1 before those who had been sent out made the turn. They never have a Marshall or a starter.
May try the course again in 3-4 weeks, but never again on a weekend.

Wait for Summer.
Have always liked this course but it was in awful condition following the winter and early Spring. Paying $78 to play was a stretch but was a terrible price for the shape the greens were in. The club house also needs some restoration in the rest rooms. The experience was sub par.
