Relaxing Fun
Good variety of holes. No unneeded frills. Just great natural conditions golf.
Peaceful Course.
Such a Peaceful place to go and enjoy a round of golf outside of the city limits. Play at your own pace, and enjoy the deer grazing on the course.
Course Rate different than what on-line offer was
Great Course with little pressure.
They would not honor the rate that was executed via the on-line tee time. Difference wasn't much but it's never good to drive out to a course and have it be different.
Eagle Creek
Good fun course, great value. Have played here many times and have enjoyed every round here.
Great day on the links.
A gem in the wild.i brought a friend ,had a blast!
Decent value
When you want to get out of the city and urban golf courses. It has rough grasses but the greens are nice. It's a long way out there in cow pasture farmlands I thought I was lost but when arrived it was like hey this is really cool!
aerated and no alert!
A little bent that the greens were aerated and no alert on the web site.
the course was good to golf
It has been a long time, propbaly 5 years since I golfed here before 4-28 -2014. I really recognized the course again when i played the 28th of april. I wil continue going there again more often. Walking on the course was very easy because of the levelness of the course. I had rode a golf cart before
still wet
was very soggy due to recent rains but weather was great, water and mud killed the iron shots and greens were very slow, but the weather was so good we didn't care.
I played 2 days later it dried up, fairways mowed, only damp though still grabby on the irons, greens were back to their usual speed, quite good. All the logged trees are gone and brush piled up so now you don't lose balls in the rough, good improvement on back 9.
This club has great view, comfortable place..
green fee is reasonable and friendly staff. nice view.
The course is currently being renovated, some rough areas at this time!
This course is currently being renovated with a lot of large timber being removed. The course is torn up in few spots which is reflected in my review. It is well kept course normally but play on a few holes at this time will involve hitting through some dirt tracks that have been created by machinery pulling logs through the area. Hopefully they will do a thorough job of cleaning up the mess and bring it back to its original pristine beauty.
Good for the money
It's real open on the front nine and very tight on the back like they added later.
Quiet, rural backdrop, away from city noises. Course has fairly easy fairways, enjoyable doglegs and pristine greens.
Great value for the money. Eagle Creek has definitely invested some money in improving the Club House and back 9 holes. Only complaint was the lack of Restroom facilities on the Course which wasn't a problem during the Summer Season when 2-3 Outhouses were in place.
I always enjoy going to Eagle Creek especially on a beautiful day when Mt. Hood is in view at several holes.
The first 5 par on the Course is especially challenging as you need to lie up off the tee shot and then send your 2nd shot over a large marshy area.
Wonderful Experience
This place is out of the way...which is why it is so quiet, comfortable, and expansive. It's a walk in the park, in the sense of being out among fields and trees, with a breathtaking cliff view over the river. My wife and both plan to return. Yes, it was a great value, but it was also a wonderful experience. Wide and narrow. Simple and yet subtle.
Great for average golfer
booked at a hot deal rate of $8.00 for 18 holes. great value for average golfers who don't feel the need to play on a manicured course. comfortable round, no waiting, nobody pushing us.
"Country" club
Rural course with beautiful scenery. In exchange for that you have to accept some crab grass fairways, dry fairways, and brutal out of bounds. I've played here for a few years and it's coming along-the back nine in particular had a lot renovated. Still agood value despite the drive.
Super fun course in the country!
This is a really nice course for any skill level and is the best value around if you are willing to make the drive. Really nice folks out there from the staff to the other golfers.
I thought that the course was in decent shape especially for how cheap the greens fees are. Fairways can be in rough shape, some yellowed and some hardpan, greens are good although heavily watered and pretty slow Poa.
TONS of wildlife out here as you are half way to Mt. Hood from Portland, a cool sheer cliff with a view of the Clackamas River, nice Mt. Hood views, saw some quail, deer, and huge nutria. Literally one of the quietest courses I've ever played.
As you read other reviews everyone is always complaining about the weird/bizarre holes (5, 8, 13) weird, maybe, but ten bucks says those people weren't hitting very straight that day because I thought those holes were really cool. Also if you are good at shaping the ball off the tee, you will LOVE the quirks of this course. At any rate, I like the variety and challenge of the course layout and what a welcome change from playing more straightforward courses like Glendoveer - West and Colwood National.
Basically I enjoyed the course because I had to think before I hit a lot of my shots. Will be back!
Course has some tricky holes but good shots pay off with many birdie opportunities
I hadn't played this course in several years and they have made many improvements. The back 9 holes was vastly improved since I first played it and although still challenging, good shots will be rewarded. Its a short course and that is an advantage for us shorter hitters. The scenery is great with many views of Mt. Hood and glimpse of the Clackamas River on the back 9 (but stay back from the cliffs). The recently remodeled clubhouse and back deck are very nice. A really nice course and great value if using golfnow to make tee times.
Farmer's golf
Greens are in good condition. Mostly lever terrain. Signs are poor. No shop and restaurant. No driving range. Not worth the drive from Portland.
