springwater golf course 4-27-2013

i arrived a hr early on sat for a 11;15 tee time wasnt very crowded asked the woman at the course about maybe being able to play early not expecting to play early there was a 2 some on the tee and they asked if we could play along i asked inside and the lady thought i was trying to take advantage and said you paid for a specific tee time so 10 mins later she said we could play because the 10;52 tee time hadnt arrived we were behind the 2some that we couldnt play with.my opinion was because i was on golf now she didnt seem very friendly i even thanked her for letting us out early.maybe it was just her my previous experence at springwater was alot friendlier

Course very well maintained for April

I didn't expect much when I booked 18 holes for 9 dollars, but this course exceeded my expectations in every way. Although it is only a 9 hole course it offers a lot of variety, elevation change, and active greens. This course surprised me and it was a lot of fun to play, would recommend the drive to play this course, great value.

Out of the way but worth the trip.

The course is mostly open with a few challenges if you leave the fairways. It's pretty easy to get on and get 9 in without killing yourself or your wallet.

Worth Planning

Long drive for us, but entirely worth the trip. Some of these holes are more creative and challenging than those at Pumpkin or the Reserve. Better maintained and drier than expected, especially for this time of the year. Funky clubhouse & carts, but tremendous value.

Beautiful course

We have played Springwater many times and enjoy every round. Even though it is only 9 holes, it is very picturesque with challenging holes and good greens. It has a good blend of long and short holes with plenty of elevation changes. Also, it is one of the greenest courses with a number of ponds and creeks. You should enjoy the course!

Little hidden jem with a fun lay out

Most 9 hole courses I don't get to excited about however Springwater is one I just had to write a review on. First let me say the club house is nothing to exciting but when I golf I am not there for a club house I want a course that is very well taken care of has a fun lay out and this course has this and so much more. The gentelmen in the club house was a class act. I had forgotten my pull cart and also had no cash in my wallet but a credit card and he was kind enough to just let me use one of their pull carts for free. Does the course have some straight open fairways yes but if you hit left or right yourin trouble with the beautiful evergreens lining both sides of the fairway.. Playing this course at the beginning of Novemeber you would not expect much for conditions but this course was in GREAT shape. This course is off the beaten path from Portland metro area but worth the drive not only for a fun very well taken care of course but also for the friendly staff. I will be back for more golf at this hidden jem of a golf course.

Good and Bad

I do like the course and have been there many times, I did stop going for a long time because of the non-friendly atmosphere, went back just recently and now wont ever go back, the lady there who I believe owns it just does not make you feel appreciated for golfing at their course instead of a competitor's course, very short with people and not personable at all, I am a business owner and don't like giving reviews like this but they may need to hear it in order to change it, constructive criticism can go a long way if you turn it to a positive for growth in business or life.

easy course

This course is set up for the beginer and intermediate golfer. Nice wide fairways with only 1 bunker on the 9th hole. There is some water on the course to give you some challenge. Very well maintained for the price you pay. I loved this course I just wish it was'nt as far from my house!

gorgeous greens and fairways

The course is in great shape; they take great care of the fairways and greens. For a nine-hole course, there is surprising variation from one hole to the next: Crazy long par four with tons of danger where a par feels like a birdie, a risk reward par five that has eagle potential, and challenging par threes to boot. There's lots of up and down as well.
The folks there are great. It's laid back. The prices are right.

Fun for only being 9

I enjoyed golfing here. The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Expect the pace to be a little slow, it's a great course for beginners. Don't expect much etiquette from other golfers.
