Good time at Par Line
Golfed the course with a foursome and all had a very good time. Holes were challenging but fair. I shot my average today so the course’s level of difficulty is in the middle. Golfed it on a Sunday afternoon and we finished in exactly four hours. Will be back.
Terrible
Course is in terrible shape and all sand traps are filled in. Not well drained, and greens are rough with dried out brown grass. Not pretty compared to when Roy Sauder ran it.
Overpriced/Underwhelming
I would think for the price people pay to play the course one would be able to differentiate between the rough, fairway, or tee box.
Course can’t stay open much longer like this.
I wouldn’t play here again unless it was the only option. The course is in terrible condition from tee to green. There are now only two sets of tees. The fairways are more clover than grass and most of the greens have diseased patches. And they charged $5 more than the online stated rate.
Terrible course and awful pace of play
This course is in very poor condition. The greens are burned-out and in obvious disrepair. It doesn't look like they are watering anywhere since the tee boxes are very dry. The pace of play is terrible.. it took my group 4 hrs and 45 minutes to complete a round of 18 holes!
Needs work
Great layout. Tea boxes bad. Fairways OK. Greens start of fugus on most. All bridges need to be replaced. To bad this course has been declining over the past few years. Looks like they may be planning to close it as soon as a developer shows up. Too bad.
Very Underrated
I'm not sure why there is so much hatred for this course on Golfnow reviews. I play a lot of courses within the area, and you would think this one was like playing in an abandoned mine based on the reviews. The reality is this - it is probably slightly overpriced for what it is. $30 with a cart all the time is high, but it isn't price gouging. $20 after 1 pm during the weekdays would be more appropriate.
As for the actual course conditions, the course is in pretty good shape. A year or so ago it was pretty beat up. Yes there might be 1 or 2 greens still where there is a spot of bare dirt at the edge of the green, but that is not the norm. Any issue with the greens is related to players not fixing their ball marks. The fairways are green and well kept. There are a few tee boxes that aren't up to country club level, but for the most part they are pretty darn good.
The carts are probably some of the nicest in the area, and the course is challenging enough for all levels of player to keep them engaged. I went out on a Tuesday at 3:10 with a cart, played 18, and pulled out of the parking lot at 5:45. The value of that is worth every penny in my opinion.
I gave this another shot this year and I'm glad I did. It seems like they have put a good amount of effort in to making improvements.
Not good planning
There was a tourney happening on the back nine later on, so they had us start back there. Makes sense. When we finished the 18th hole we went to the front and there was a foursome starting off and they were taking their good ol time. They seemed to not care and didn’t ask us to play thru ( it was just two of us) so we had to skip a hole to get passed them. Over all just annoyed.
Probably won’t play again for $30
Decided to give them another chance this year considering the conditions were rough last year. Paid $30 for the 9am tee time and honestly I was just disappointed. The fairways weren’t bad at all. They were cut well as well as the rough. Tee boxes weren’t awful but also not good. The greens were terrible. Craters and bare spots all over. Might have had two putts all round that didn’t bounce the whole way to the cup. I wouldn’t complain if it was a 15 or 20 dollar round. But for 30 a round you expect decent conditions and it was not decent.
Needs work
This course is in fair condition. They could do better at maintaining the greens. They’re like concrete with a lot of dry patches. Other than that, it’s a good course.
Greens looked like the beach of Normandy
The greens were horrible. Dead spots all over and small divots all over them. Putting was inconsistent and impossible. Fairways were decent for the course. Won’t be coming back until they fix this mess.
Needs work
Looks like they will soon sell the land for something else. No improvement from last year & it needs a lot of work. Will play in a month or two & if no improvement I won't be back.
will not return
i usually play par line a few times a year for a cheap hot deal. i played there for the first time this year and will not be returning. conditions were so dreadful that at times i just wanted to end the round early. if you like patches all over the fairways, extremely bumpy greens, and dead grass on tee boxes this course is for you. not even worth the $15 hot deals.
Needs work
The layout was pretty good. Greens look like a few horses ran through them right before we played. Tees are horrible. Wasn’t worth the $35 spent and won’t be back until the course is in better condition.
