Terrible condition
Imagine a nice hot steamy dog doo doo getting thrown in your face. That’s comparable to 18 holes at par line. Love trying new courses and I definitely won’t be going back. Seems like the grounds crew went MIA a long time ago. Any course in bad shape this time of year needs to fire the landscapers!
Horrible greens and tee boxes
I have never played on a course with worse greens and tee boxes. Every green is pox marked with some sort of fungus. Your putts bounce around and can't stay on line. Most of the tee boxes are just patches of mud with no grass or patches of weeds. Don't waste your money playing this course.
5 Hour Round and Bad Greens
Pace of play was bad. 5 hour round. The greens were in terrible shape. Bumps and craters on every green. Some of the tee boxes were pretty much non-existent.
Terrible condition
Tee boxes were super long and mostly dirt. Greens were diseased and bumpy.
Garbage pit
This place should be a horse track since I'm pretty sure horses graze on the greens. Greenskeeper should be ashamed. Better off putting on the gravel cartpath than the greens. Pace was OK but lots of blind T shots and holes are close to each other. Suprised I didnt die. People should tell grenade instead of Fore so everyone can watch out.
A Unique Course for the Capital Area
Par Line is definitely worth giving a try! I played the course for the first time yesterday, and had a great time. It’s got a fun layout, between some sharp doglegs, rolling hills and even a power line that runs along the first fairway. If that doesn’t give you the *energy* to play, I don’t know what will. There’s no sand to be found anymore, as the course is working on removing all of its bunkers.
The fairways are very open, too, and there aren’t many trees, so you don’t have to worry about an errant shot ruining your hole. Maintenance is the only noticeable problem, with the fairways and greens missing lots of spots of grass. Most of the time, it didn’t affect my play, but there were a couple putts that got bounced around by it. It wasn’t bad enough to hurt my experience, though. Come give Par Line a shot, and make sure to grab one of their hot dogs, too!
Ok course
Course was ok. Needs maintenance. Can play somewhere better and cheaper.
Good course for the money
This course is good for what you pay. But by no means amazing. There sand traps have no sand and look like they haven’t in a long time some of the greens have bare spots from divots not being fixed properly. And several of there trees have huge wasp nests which makes retrieving balls impossible sometimes.
Used to be nice
I've played this course many times over the years because I like the layout and length. However now they're just letting it fall apart. Tee boxes and fairways are all torn up, and even the greens need major repair. There's been a sign up all season saying they're doing repairs but no evidence of that. I've noticed it's not nearly as busy as it used to be so apparently players have noticed. Either sell the course or make it more playable.
Good course - Bad player etiquette
This is a nice enough course that I enjoy playing. It has enough quirkiness to keep it interesting, and I've always been able to play fast (2.5 - 3 hour solo rounds). Yes there are some bad spots on the greens, but the bigger issue is the number of inconsiderate jerks who don't repair their ball marks, or clearly smack their putters into the green. Staff is very friendly and if you've never played go play this course
course is rough shape. looks they’re not even trying to maintain it
