Cart issues
I’d like to state that I paid for this round through golf now prior to arrival. The starter and the pro shop did not say the course was cart path only. So the god in the cart said it was cart path only and would not let us drive on the fairway. I called the pro shop during the round and they brought another cart out and said it was a computer issue as it was not cart path only. The second cart did the same thing. Obviously they didn’t test the second cart. If I knew this was a issue I would not have played today. As I have a bad knee and was playing with a elderly friend who doesn’t get around well. If the pro shop would have stated this issue in the beginning I would not have played. So by the time we figured out what went wrong we were well into our round. Usually this course is great but today was terrible and the staff I talked to didn’t seem to have much empathy or concern as the Pro was not working today. A complete waste of money today.
Great layout. CPO probably most of the winter. So you'll get plenty of exercise walking to your ball. Greens are almost perfect, very fast.
Fun course - good play, fast greens
Playing the last likely day heading into winter. Course in decent shape for time of year (lack rain/water). Greens a little tough - hard to stop.
Classic Course
I always enjoy playing auburn valley. It’s such a classic course with a fun layout. It’s challenging but fun. Today the greens were really fast but rolled great. So that was an extra challenge on already tough greens.
Descent course
Descent course, good peace. Score cards are a joke. Just poorly printed, with no hole layouts, hard to read.. Distance marks to the hole are on the ground so make sure you check that (no poles on the side).
Great time to play Auburn Valley
Greens are receptive and Auburn Valley fast. Will be playing there again soon, conditions are great.
Great place
Nothing but good to say except had no idea on most of holes because there are no side or fairway markers and whole place is a dead zone for gps
This course was in terrific shape
One of the best courses in area. Can’t find one in better shape. Only complaint I had was most of time I had no idea what yardage I had because there are very few markers and no service for gps
Retired and love it !
Very nice course, not for a beginner. Tough greens but overall a great course !
Auburn Valley
Very tough course, greens very fast and difficult to read. Good course for above average golfer.
Nice Track, but...
Auburn Valley is an enjoyable, challenging course. Conditions are standard for typical munis in the area. Greens are tricky and local knowledge is a good thing. They're semi-private, and upon arrival we were told that the range balls on the range were for members only, and we would have to buy range balls. Given that, the cost and the distance, next time I will pass, and select a closer, less expensive track. Want players to drive to you? Make it worth it.
Good course
Course in good shape all the way around. Nice wide fairways, greens are difficult to read. Pace was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great affordable course
Course was in great condition and not too crowded. Greens were in really good shape. Best bang for your buck in the Sacramento region.
6 hour round of golf
We got to the course 30 minutes early and were told we would be teeing off 10-15 minutes later than our tee time. 40 minutes after our tee time we finally got to tee off. Apparently, there was a small tournament scheduled that was running late.
We then spent 10 minutes after every hole waiting to play the next hole. After almost 6 hours, we ended our round on the 15th hole and drove back to the club house to leave.
